Correct, Mission Impossible.
[*]As producer he's even more of a showrunner.
[*]He'll likely be (only) producing Trek 3 but I'll still consider him to be one of the movers and shakers -behind the scenes.
[*]Has one person ever been behind 3 (or more) franchises at the same time? Incredible.

JJA will be done filming Episode VII this summer. There's a small chance he'll be available to film Star Trek.
It's amazing. This man is involved in 3 major franchises. Insane!
That $40 million marketing budget seems a bit low. Wonder where they pulled that number out of..
If these numbers are correct then we're looking at a $125million total cost and they start making their money back after about $250 million in boxoffice receipts. Various distribution deals as the article suggests mean they are already well on their way.
Both will do well at the boxoffice but I think Amazing-Spiderman will outgross Captain America: Winter Soldier so I expect Cap will move since they will have proven the early April timeslot does work.
I wouldn't go as far as absurd but I agree that fans weren't necessarily clamoring for a FN sequel.
Fancy and filmscholar - do you blame Disney for the rash of sequels and 3D re-release gimmicks (something I predicted would happen when they bought Pixar years ago)?
