  1. Good hold for The Heat GU2 didn't really hurt it that much
  2. Don't count out Chiwetel Ejiofor for 12 Years a Slave
  3. Monsters University - 78% Despicable Me 2 - 74% The Croods - 69% Turbo - 65% with 31 reviews Epic - 64% Escape from Planet Earth - 27% So no frontrunner again this year, maybe MU but it's still an open race
  4. I saw Turbo and it has a good shot for a nomination especially if its 5 nods.
  5. I haven't seen an update on Olympus Has Fallen. I hope it crawled to $99 million already
  6. Monsters University just 2 weeks in theaters I wished they screened a week earlier, I was hoping it would cross $2 million. DM2 is so strong, could beat Fast 6 for #4. World War Z's run is very impressive 4 Sisters did really well as it was up against a lot of strong movies Pacific Rim did really well. We love robots!

  9. True. lol I haven't read this book but does it have scenes in Manila? Anyway, even if there is, this won't likely shoot here anyway because the church would likely protest
  10. RTH, do you have any idea how Filipino movie 4 Sisters and a Wedding performed? It was shown in a few cities there.
  11. Press release from WB Philippines“PACIFIC RIM” GROSSES P83.25-M, SM MALL OF ASIA NO. 1 IN THEATER RANKINGS That's roughly $2 million
  12. Agree! Cups is a pop culture phenomenon and it managed to finally enter the Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 this week several months since Pitch Perfect's release. I think Anna has a remote chance of getting a Grammy nod (thinking of Pop Vocal Performance) Pitch Perfect 2 will definitely be big, so much goodwill for the first one
  13. MU 2 shed a lot of screens because on its first week it was shown usually in 2 screens, 2D and 3D. All its 3D screens were given to DM2 and also in theaters with 5 or less screens, it got pushed out for DM2.The Heat's screen count barely changed because while it still had screen it didn't have full showtimes anymore as it shared screens with other movies (usually with an underperformer like Bling Ring or a holdover like World War Z).
  14. HUGE for DM2! Could gross around $5-6 million. Very impressive Big drop for MU Well Man of Steel will not reach $9 million anymore. DM2 took a lot of its screens World War Z's performance is just impressive No numbers yet for local movie 4 Sisters and a Wedding, their studio reports it already earned 120 million pesos so that's around $2.7 million
