Its actually very outdated FX from Digital Domain. I don't understand why they had a such a big budget of 195M. If this job was given to WETA, they could have easily done much better FX than this, for a budget of 40-50M!

I had an enormous headache while watching this movie! I watched this, just for the sake of writing a review in IMDb, Metacritic and RT. Nothing superior when comapared with the first one. I personally think that first one is better. When I was through the latter part of the movie, I almost forgot the first half! I think the plot was quite stupid. The villain's approach was pretty bad. Nukes is a very outdated strategy, which has been used in numerous movies even decades ago!, just like Superman IV. Acting was bad as expected. And the addition of Rocky and Willis is just a waste of money. They are just wasted in this movie. Another thing that I noticed is the weaponry of G.I. Joes'. They don't have at least one of those advanced weapons they used in the first movie. What happened for those weapons?

53% has given 'A' for this? hmm... anyway this is kinda annoying movie for me, a huge letdown from the golden-era movies of Disney-Pixar. Honestly this doesn't deserves an Oscar.

I give C- because PJ has mutated too much elements in the book, unlike LOTR trilogy. That's where everything went wrong! Due to his enormous reputation for LOTR trilogy, So he thought that everything what he did in this movie would be well praised by both critics and the audience. But unfortunately it didn't work for PJ! Pretty much similar thing happened for Shyamalan as well! He was self obsessed by the overwhelming success of The Sixth Sense and Unbreakable! PJ will never be a Shyamalan, but PJ needs to get into the right track! Honestly I lost all my anticipation for the next 2 movies after watching this! Still he can fix the errors, but not in DoS. If PJ really wants to fix some serious issues, TABA is his only chance!
