  1. It is way too early for a first boxoffice report to show up. Too many hours left in the day.
  2. Before Sunrise - The bestSe7enThe Usual SuspectsToy StoryDie Hard 3Twelve MonkeysBraveheart
  3. Well based on Comic Con reactions, Dredd.
  4. Still that is some breathing room for the film and a lot better than going head to head.
  5. Good Holds for IA and TDKR, The Watch is crashing, crashing, crashing.
  6. Tom Waits starred in "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" with Heath Ledger.
  7. Backloading and frontloading is just in the reporting, i think a huge first week would have nullifed the point. DH2 dropped hugely in it's second week but still made $947m. Also, don't studios get a higher percentage of the gross in the first week?
  8. Why didn't they roll out the film in most markets last week? Wouldn't it have been better to not risk a clash with a global event like Olympics?
  9. Philadelphia- Hanks second best performance after Cast Away IMO.The Lorax - Likeable fare. The Dark Knight Rises - Loved it!Trainspotting - Gross, raw and humourous. A great film.In Bruges - I am still not sure how i feel about the ambiguous ending but all in all,a really good film.
  10. On a normal weekend, yes it will be hard. But this weekend is an anomaly which i hope never happens again.
  11. I think Friday will suffer but Saturday will be the biggest ever.
  12. Yeah, i am from Pakistan too and i was hoping against hope that this may not be another another insane religious attack.
  13. The whole film was screened and these are professional critics, not a bunch of fanboys who will lap onto anything concerning their fandom.
  14. Dredd is getting great reactions from the Comic-Con screening. Some critic reactions below@colliderfrosty"DREDD was a super hard R and a lot better than I thought it would be. Again....super hard R. 3D was also great."@firstshowing"Dredd 3D - Uh yea, that was awesome. Badass, loved it. Yes, the helmet never comes off. Liked it more than The Raid, a lot more, honestly."@Ethan_Anderton"DREDD is brutal, bloody and a bad ass bloody blast of old school action. I was skeptical and ended up being highly entertained."@empiremagazine"Dredd Goodd. Longer reaction to come soon, followed by the full Empire review. We're that drokking efficient."@slashfilm"DREDD is a lot of fun. A return to 80s action, The Raid meets Robocop on a mini scale. great use of high fps slow mo 3d. Gritty & violent"
  15. What a gem of a movie, my favourite of 2010.
  16. I don't see it going past $600m OS with or without China.
