On a serious note, comparing DC to Marvel is stupid in my opinion, at least until the DC shared universe starts showing up because they really are two completely different things at the moment. The Nolan batman's were amazing flicks in their own rights while Marvel films have perhaps not individually reached those heights, but at the same time they have created this giant interconnected world that we simply haven't seen on the big screen before. I'm glad we got the TDK trilogy and I'm glad we have the Marvel Shared World stuff. Both are fantastic efforts that shouldn't, imo, be compared to each other.

I did watch this, but am having trouble finding the time to post my thoughts so I'll simply say this for now. I survived it. No need to leave the hall light on!

The Amazing Spider-Man

I don't know about Cat Woman bad. I think technically its a much better film if nothing else. But at least Cat Woman kept me entertained throughout the movie laughing at how incredibly shit everything was. TASM just bored me to tears and made me wish I was watching Spider-Man instead. -

Holy Shit. This is like if Jesus returned to earth and told everyone that the Buddhists have gotten it right. I'm guessing that watching it without any of the hype surrounding the release helped you to see things differently? -
Are You Getting Tired of Comic Book Films?
Phil in the Blank replied to Dark Jedi Master 007's topic in The Speakeasy
To be fair you have just described a shitload of popcorn movies that have nothing to do with comic books. I mean maybe not a big battle in the sky to protect all of the world, but definitely a big battle in location X to protect object Y. It's what the masses want to see and until that changes this is the forumlae we are stuck with for these big budget films regardless of where they base their source material. So to answer your question I'm not tired of comic book movies because they are comic book movies, but because big budget movies as a whole are so incredibly formulaic. -
*Sigh* fine, I'll guess if that means you will hurry up and finish this damn list I'm not ordering them but here are 10 movies that may or may not show up Monty Python's Holy Grail Shawshank Redemption Jesus Christ, almost ever movie i type in to the search bar has already appeared on your list lol Raiders of the Lost Ark The Big Lebowski Pulp Fiction North by Northwest Schindler's List Fight Club The Usual Suspects Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid. 0/10 here we go.

I have just seen CA2, and yeah, good film but it is certainly not in the ballpark of any of Nolan's Batmans films. To put it simply, The TDK trilogy is playing chess while the Marvel movies are playing checkers. Now I like a good game of checkers, but it simply doesn't have the depth that chess provides. I do give credit to the Marvel movies for creating a huge interconnecting web of movies that all link up with each other. That is quite the feat, and CA2 is perhaps the best of the bunch.

The Dark Knight Rises

Yes, I'm sure watching a movie you consider to be a 6/10 is going to destroy your soul. -
Yes thats the problem. I had to sleep with the hall light on for 3 days after watching The Ring lol.
