Can't confirm it, but it might just be a case where Lionsgate's going through bad money troubles. They were already almost an acquisition target back in 2018, they spun off the Starz network into its own company a few months ago, and they're probably more susceptible and damaged by movies bombing, which they have been doing for quite a while. The constant delays for a lot of their movie projects also probably says a lot. Could be wrong of course, and I don't want to derail things further, but that sadly seems like the culprit.
