Yes, because the week day increases for MJ2 where awful so it balanced a bit during the weekend. FB had great week days and a great weekend.

Lol, wut? MJ2 dropped 49% in it's second weekend. FB dropped 39%. They are not even close. Plus, MJ2 had an embarrassing 64% post-Thanksgiving drop, one of the worst ever. I doubt FB drops more than 50-55%.

FB didn't have those great holds because of the holidays alone lol. It has great WOM. That means it will have above the norm drops for the rest of the run.

There's also the other way around where Moana actually disappoints and opens lower than £ 4.5m. I think most of the audiences, in UK especially, will choose FB over Moana as family entertainment. If Moana retains the same percent of Frozen's OW as in the US, it will have a debut around £ 3.8m. And that seems high considering FB is a way bigger deal in the UK than in the US. So maybe a £ 3.5m.

I think a 3.1x multi (230m) is very likely to happen at this point. Gonna be optimistic and hope for a 3.2x.

Seeing how FB had the best drop for any HP movie opening in Nov except for GoF, I am hoping (dreaming) of a superb 30-35% drop for about a £ 6m third weekend. It would be so awesome if FB could win the year in the UK.

Frozen made 4.7m pounds on OW. Will Moana have an extended weekend or something?

With that number for the second WE, can Moana even open to #1 next week? I can't see more than a 45% drop next week. And that would be even bigger than this week. With that, FB would make 4.9m. A 5m third weekend should happen imo. Does Moana have any chance of reaching that? Also, I think £ 50m should also happen at this point, no?

Keep in mind that the first OS weekend had previews included from all the markets. The hold is way better than that.

Why are people acting like RO will be the end of FB? At that point FB will not be doing much anyway and RO won't even make half of SW7 on OW. FB will be fine. The market can handle multiple movies, especially WOM events ones.

Nah. I still think Moana goes higher. Not by much. A 3x multi will happen for Beasts tho. I think that is the best WB could've expected. An extremely well received movie bodes well for the franchise.

That number for FB is just beautiful!! And combined with the great international holds I'd say 750m at least is locked. 800m in play.

I'm starting to wonder if FB can drop under 40% for the 3 day weekend. Also, at this point, a 3x multi should happen. Remember the OW talk about this not even hitting a 2.4x?

Even those we got them 12 hours earlier than usual LOL. I bet both Moana and FB come in higher. That 13.5m looks frontloaded for Moana if true.

Not really because at this point it is completely impossible to get that low. I love BOPro, but sometime I feel whoever writes it gets the Deadline virus. Like with the Sing prediction.
