a 52mn+ weekend will put IO at 185mn in 10 days....it will add another 80-85mn before Minons comes out.... so 265-270mn in 3 weeks......i fail to see how this misses 350

props to IO as well....its holding its ground against this juggernaut that noone saw coming about a month ago... an original animation opening 2nd with 95mn against a 4-quadrant mov like JW is equally insane IMO..

From deadline: 3RD UPDATE, 6:08PM: We’re now hearing that Disney-Pixar’s Inside Out is on track for a $30M Friday, which would turn into an $80M-$82M opening weekend. That’s amazing, as it doesn’t appear to be stealing much family business away from Jurassic World, which looks to be very close to the $28M-$30M range. That should yield a second frame of $100M-$103M. Again, if JW passes, $103.05M, it will be the biggest second weekend ever for a movie, beating The Avengers. Open Road’s Dope looks to be doing better than expected with an FSS opening of $7M-$9M. All based on industry estimates.

as expected minions >> IO....will have a repeat of DM2 vs MU scenario in 2013 hope IO can hold its ground against Minions

i expect JW to hold better than F7...since WOM is better and it is a 4-quadrant film..

Attendance: 40% full (500 seater) Location: GV Max, Singapore Trailers:(No reactions to any of them) Ant Man (decent trailer...funny in parts) Jurassic World (looks good..will watch it OD) Fantastic Four (cgi was good.....not sold on the lead actors though) Boring fest...eventhough the CGI was suprisingly good for its moderate budget($100mn)... the cliched story line...father saves family from impossible situations was beaten to death in many disaster flicks... Rock doesn't even care for anybody else except his family(except for a scene where guides group of people to safety amidst an earth quake) bad acting didn't help either...man alexendra daddario is hot :drools: C+
