  1. Oh, so this is what it takes for you old crusty bastards to start being all lovey dovey? That said, I really like this, and I'll even make sure to see it during the Christmas holidays.
  2. It would be a real stretch for The Jungle Book to get there, though. Around $65m from Japan. Doesn't happen that often.
  3. Zootopia might be shown on a weekend-only basis next week. I'm not sure, but I think I saw Toho do that for the latest Detective Conan movie. In any case, Zootopia is just about totally done.
  4. Seat Counts for Saturday, July 16th http://mimorin2014.blog.fc2.com/blog-entry-12424.html Looks like Zootopia has been totally removed from Japanese theaters. Click on the link and you'll see that it's not there. Once this list updates next week: http://www.kogyotsushin.com/archives/alltime/ We'll know the exact final total for Zootopia. @No Prisoners
  5. Hey, The Jungle Book gained theaters for some reason. Discount theaters?
  6. They might do a random sweep to see if contracts are being upheld.

  8. Well, if Disney catches them trying to break the rules, they'll never show Disney movies again.
  9. I don't really know how well it's doing. I just had a prediction beforehand that it would be 60% of KFP3 sales for this particular report. 78% seemed high to me. edit: whoops I didn't realize what you were saying. Where are the reports on electronic video or streaming?
  10. You mean streaming and downloads? The trouble is that they don't release that data.
  11. I only casually watch the video charts, but this surprised me: It seems to me that Zootopia's video sales are holding up surprisingly well. http://www.homemediamagazine.com/research/kung-fu-panda-3-dances-second-week-atop-disc-sales-38447
  12. Alright, it wasn't back at first, but now I see it's there. Nice work!
  13. The point I was trying to make was that the first Despicable Me wasn't a huge culture defining event. The sequel still increased greatly. Zootopia doesn't need to be the obsession of every 5 year old girl for its own potential sequel to be huge.
  14. Would you say that Despicable Me was full permeation? Just the first one, mind you.
  15. Uh, wut? "Expected a sequel in a few years"? Did people expect a Frozen sequel in 2013? Come on now.
