  1. I think it's just your personal opinion on the "sequalbility" of Zootopia. Many many reviewers have said that the world of Zootopia is an ideal framework for the franchise. As for the HTTYD2 comparison. That I can see. However, Zootopia is part of the Disney brand, which is very valuable and trusted by the general audience. They can find a way to keep in in everyone's mind. And $500m is simply not guaranteed for any movie. Except maybe Star Wars.
  2. I'm also wondering about ticket prices. In 2013, the average was $8.13, compared to $7.89 in 2010. That's a difference of 3% over the three years, or an average annual increase of 1%. However, ticket prices have seen a 3.2% increase from 2014 to 2015, which might be a sign of higher inflation in the future. If Zootopia 2 comes out in 2022, and the average annual increase is 2.5%, the average ticket price will be around $10, or about a 16% increase from today's prices. That might help its changes of increasing a bit.
  3. We have no idea until we see marketing and buzz. I think all of those projects have the potential to electrify audiences, but we have to wait. Frozen 2 has a higher potential, though, in my opinion. Justified or not, I would see it as a huge surprise if The Incredibles sequel passed Finding Dory.
  4. World of KJ, where Corpse posts, is down. You'll have to rely on looking here, or at the sources yourself.
  5. Well, it still has a long ways to go until it reaches Inside Out's £39m or Minions's £45 And that's not considering the exchange rate.
  6. Untitled Disney Animation (3-D)(BV) - 11/27/19 Honestly didn't notice that before. I thought I was kind of BS-ing on the Frozen 2 date. Untitled Disney Animation (Nov 2020)(BV) - 11/25/20 The last time Disney did 3 consecutive November movies in a row, they waited 15 months for their next release. I guess Zootopia 2 might come in 2022.
  7. I just found out that this movie: Made 225,456,800 RMB last weekend. Great! Maybe it can beat Zootopia.
  8. Did you think that about Pets before Zootopia had its run? Because before they both opened, I don't know which one would have been favored.
  9. The bigger surprise is that they're both going to cross $300m dom easily. Would anyone from January predict that?
  10. I don't think anyone's predicting the same multi. Some are speculating if it can pass its total, though.
  11. Lolwut? Inside Out was released in June. Are you thinking of the Cannes premier?
  12. I wonder when Disney is actually going to release Frozen 2. Will it be 2019 or 2020? They already have the Thanksgiving Wednesdays of both years reserved, according to BOM. Will it come immediately after Gigantic? Will any of these choices affect gross?

  14. I'm personally expecting an opening weekend of ¥1Billion and a final total of ¥10Billion.
  15. I wonder how Deadline is going to assess the profitability of Zootopia. Might hold up well compared to Frozen and Despicable Me, especially considering the lack of merchandise for Zootopia. Seriously, no kids are going out on Halloween as Judy Hopps. And the characters aren't going to be on Chiquita bananas or tic-tacs like the Minions.
  16. Judging by this site: http://www.kogyotsushin.com/archives/alltime/ Zootopia did a little bit better on its 12th weekend than Corpse estimates.
