  1. Spring break is happening right now in a few places, actually.
  2. Some systems are on Spring break right now. My college is on break, and so are the local public schools.
  3. That might be partly because the budget for Zootopia is slightly underestimated in this game.
  4. You know, the Chinese market is so unpredictable. Wouldn't it really be something if Zootopia made more money in China than it did in North America?
  5. Zootopia's Monday isn't a sign of anything miraculous, given its opening weekend. I guess its drop will be small, but it will be noticeable.
  6. It seems like it's popular on the Chinese video sites, though.
  7. I think $700 million worldwide is a modest estimate at this point.
  8. Damn, if only I hadn't overestimated Zootopia and underestimated London Has Fallen. Maybe then I wouldn't be in last place.
  9. Can people on the ground tell me why Zootopia looks like a huge success in China? I could guess for myself, but that would be patronizing and ignorant. Those are two qualities this movie tells us to avoid, actually.
  10. Oooh. I think I might have to join a club. The less than 27% drop club. I'll still wait until tomorrow to be sure.
  11. Another thing I noticed. I eavesdropped on a certain conversation in the audience. Dad: How did you like it? 12-year-old daughter: It was good. 9-year-old son: Good. Dad: It was awesome! I think this movie's success will be driven by adults telling other adults about it.
  12. Right now, I don't just implore you to see Zootopia. I implore you to see it MULTIPLE TIMES. It's honestly fucking insane. One screening I thought "Gosh, this movie is gritty and dark and the humor is deservedly mean-spirited," and the next I thought "What a hilarious and uplifting movie!". And even scarier than that, I managed to have the complete opposite opinion on Nick and Judy. One time I thought "They're strictly like brother and sister" and now I think "OMG, they should hook up and have tons of babies!" I guess it's like life itself. Your perspective changes as you experience more.
  13. I'm guessing it won't end up with a surprise villain. In fact, from its synopsis, Moana might not even have a villain at all.
  14. Four movies in a row. Wreck it Ralph, Frozen, Big Hero 6 and Zootopia. Hell, in the first three, Alan Tudyk plays the red herring. I'm glad he got a comic relief part in Zootopia. I wonder how Moana can possibly have a surprise villain.
  15. This has to be intentional. Edit: Shit, I meant to post this in in the main thread.
  16. I'm not making a prediction until I see Monday's Zootopia total. If it's higher than expected, the movie might be catching on with adult audiences.
  17. Of course, you do realize that a part of the forgiveness is that he saw how devastated she was. And she deserved to feel miserable, honestly.
  18. That's actually a great point. The scene seems better to me now.
  19. OK, but do you agree that his forgiveness was a bit sudden? Maybe he could have slowly warmed back up to her.
