  1. Non stop just opened? 6 months is an incredibly long wait for a non summer blockbuster
  2. Bare minimum is 350m but i wouldnt be surprised if it made over 425m
  3. Actually he didnt, two indie films were released in the potter timeframe
  4. And arguably Will Smith could have had 9 films make the mark if Seven Pounds hadnt had lackluster confusing marketing. It almost achieved a 5X multiplier and with a decent OW it could have made it to 100m
  5. Adam Sandler had a lot back in the day but Spanglish and Reign over me killed what would have been a seven movie streak
  6. Im saying that because while there are tons of succesful actresses none of have ever reached the status of a Tom Cruise/Hanks or will smith. Looking at a lot of popular actresses the best streak was Julia Roberts with 3, melissa Mccarthy with 3 while angelina jolie, sandra bullock and cameron diaz could only imagine 2. Most of these actresses are reaching the end of their bankability but Jennifer Lawrence is just getting started.
  7. I think it would be very impressive if she was able to pull it off because (1) shes very young and (2) shes a woman, and no other actress has gotten this close to the record.
  8. Never heard of that but im assuming its a low budget indie drama
  9. The current record holder is Will Smith with 8 movies from 2002-2008 and Tom Cruise and Tom Hanks are both tied for second with 7 films each. However it seems like their best days are behind them and nowadays its all about actors/actresses that appeal to the YA fanbase. As of right now Jennifer Lawrence currently is at 4 movies in a row with Silver Linings Playbook, Catching Fire, American Hustle and X-men DOFP. Her next two films on the schedule are Mockingjay part 1 and 2 and if you add X-men Apocalypse into the mix that would make 7 in a row. Essentially making her the biggest star working today. Seeing as how her pedigree will be extremely high by then(although it already is now) getting 2 more oscar bait movies or some random summer blockbusters to over 100m will be a walk in the park for her. Shes already guaranteed to make the 7 mark tying with Will Smith or even beating is a very reasonable prediction.
  10. First one was much more intelligent and emotional but Ill be damned if I didn't enjoy the overtop action in this. Stallone looked like a perfectly cut muscular piece of death. B
  11. Decent thriller with good performances from Pine and Denzel. Nothing i'd clamor to rewatch but it was worth a watch B
  12. Watched this for the first time in my senior english class and while I though it started out well enough it soon went downhill. The premise is certainly interesting and Dustin Hoffman does a good job but ultimately the film dissolves into a repetitive messy chore. Also way too many music montages
  13. Funny enough but not one of Arnolds best. Amongst his films from the 80's Predator and Terminator are far superior. B
  14. First one was funny, thought the second one was kinda boring and as far as threequels go I see no reason why this will buck the trend. However the winter release date will certainly help it and OS will once again be massive
  15. Didnt he get in the head really hard by the big white guy? I though he was dead
  16. If Universal markets it right and it gets solid reviews, we could be looking at new June OW contender
  17. Remembering thinking that this looked cool instead i got a convoluted story with no directionC
  18. Maybe they should have opened it up in November instead
