  1. I haven't seen it, but it even got a PG-Rating in Germany. Just to compare, they cut some scenes in Chamber of Secrets a couple of years ago, because they originally got the PG-13 Rating. But then, times have changed...
  2. Unfortunately not. I would feel much better, if somebody would at least confirm that number, that would make the movie way less frontloaded, then anticipated and would bring hope for it's run over the holiday next weekend and give it a good shot at surpassing the 200m milestone and securing the sequels and the vision in Rowlings head.
  3. According to Rallax theater, it seems more of the other way, as WB seemed to not have booked the movie for the biggest theater there. I'm talking about theters, where all the evening shows are already at capacity. Comparing this to Dr. Strange, this was on a much bigger count of screens, filling them up only slowly. But Dr. Strange started in a very, very muted, if not dead marked and Disney had all the opportunities. And other than that, Disney probably can to anything in a theater with the current standing, miles ahead of any other studio.
  4. From what I'm seeing, demand for FB seems up compared to yesterday at Arclight locations in the evening shows. But that's just a small sample. A couple more showtimes at certain locations would be welcome, but for some strange reason, it's pretty muted in that department compared to other movies.
  5. Let's not pretend, this would be uncommon. There would be other things, where deleting the post would be more appropriate, though.
  6. Well, maybe you'd like to read that exchange again, as there was indeed another person, who had to say something. But this is not the right place to discuss and it doesn't matter anyway, because it never changed anything in the past. Make room for some Fantastic Beasts. Or go after them again, that would be more in style of this place.
  7. Not officially. Expelled might have been the wrong choice of word here though. I didn't mean it in the sense of somebody being thrown out, but making it very uncomfortable for that person being around here. As I said, one day, you should start with having a look at your staffs behavior, before going after certain users for nothing. Would end up in a much better environment for users being not part of the core of the cool gang over here.
  8. I see, nothing has changed. Arbitrary moderation expels one of the greatest sources for Box Office Numbers at this forum. And it features exactly the same persons, you would expect. Nothing has changed. But what would you expect. Those persons start derailing threads, picking at certain films, just to call out others, as soon as they jump their train. @EmpireCity Don't let it get to you and please stay, you do a great job and if what you said, was an insult (you got to be kidding), you should ask yourself the question, why the persons going after you are still here to begin with. Well, they are the "elite". They can do everything. Without a concequence. That's how it always was. I hope FB can hit that 30m mark, it would be nice, if it could at least go to 75m. It would be a decent start, considering that marketing.
  9. Only because some Potter Diehards cry for 125m openings, that doesn't make it a reasonable prediction. Seeing the trailers and the historic setting, 70-80m and 200m total was always where this was headed to and where it might go after all. Harry Potter was about Harry Potter, this has no connection to the Person Harry Potter at all. Especially not in that first part of the story. It's the same for Rogue One. 400m would be an amazing achievment for a movie that only has Vader as a link to the beloved SW Characters. And still there's talk about 500m being a lock.
  10. I don't see a big difference between the two of them. Both are part of a known brand with a completely new story and new characters.
  11. Everything else would have been ridiculous, Arrival is filling up pretty much all the shows it got. Maybe it can challenge 10m. That would be amazing.
  12. Everywhere I look, "Arrival" has very strong showings in theaters with reserved seatings. Matinees look pretty healthy, too. I saw a sellout in Long beach for the 1.25PM show. I have a hard time believing, this will only make 5Mio on friday. That's impossible, even with the low TC.
  13. Well, as the other one is about Staff having a great time mocking their users, let's try it here for people that are here to discussing numbers of a great weekend ahead. So far, JB is looking at $25m on Friday, with Variety, HR and Deadline all agreeing. Barber Shop is looking at $25+ over the weekend. http://variety.com/2016/film/news/box-office-jungle-book-barbershop-batman-1201754732/ http://deadline.com/2016/04/the-jungle-book-barbershop-the-next-cut-criminal-late-nights-thursday-box-office-1201738263/ http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/box-office-jon-favreaus-jungle-883622
  14. And there comes the final act of the worst play in history.
  15. It's quite obvious now, that this is staged by the Staff from the beginning. I don't know what's funny about it, but all the open talk about internal decissions, IPs was suspicious from the beginning. Yu guys should be really ashamed to call this place boxofficetheory with what's happening today. This is kindergarden and mocks every user being here for discussion BoxOffice. Once again, nothing but disappointments.
  16. I Wuxi Finger Hold them into keeping the promise. Otherwise I ask Donald Trump and his allmighty power to rename this place into Jocksofficetheory.com and the gifs posted by the new users then, probably wouldn't amuse too many users over here.
