  1. Even October 27th would have been fine for Trolls.
  2. I wouldn't count out Migration but Trolls I'm unsure about and a week before Wish isn't good, I would have released it in October since that's the case OS.
  3. I don't think even WB would have expected Barbie to beat TDK domestically.
  4. Unlike last year where August was so empty, flops just lingered for weeks, cinemas can take the hit since the older releases will be making more money percentage wise. I wonder what will be number 1, it might not be until September 1st when The Equalizer 3 is released.
  5. Sony really should have just released Gran Turismo this weekend. Universal has Demeter and Strays back to back, could be a rough two weeks for them but they can suck it up.
  6. I do wonder if Juror Number 2 was planned for January 2024? It won't happen now even though Eastwood shoots his films very quickly but I could see it slot in nicely for August or October 2024 or if WB does a bit of rejigging, maybe April 2024 with LOTR moving to later in the year.
  7. It's strange how stacked WB's second half is currently with Nun 2, Dune Part II and the three December releases. Bob Marley: One Love I would imagine will get a limited release for qualifying purposes, I'm surprised it's not been set already.
  8. I assume as producer, it'll be a lot! She's very business savvy so I imagine it'll more than she got for acting.
  9. I think Furiosa's current slot would work best because there isn't any competition for IMAX for a while.
  10. They have Twisters OS as well as the undated Coyote v Acme, I would imagine Juror Number 2 will end up in mid to late 2024.
  11. Gran Turismo has no real hook aside from the based on the true story aspect and I think the SAG strike has affected the ability to promote it. I know people are a bit low on Blue Beetle but it will open a lot better than GT.
  12. I do think Sony have no real idea how to market GT, the 'This actually Happened' is not a selling point.
  13. Luckily for cinemas, they don't have to keep Gran Turismo in the PLFs as Blue Beetle is out the week after.
  14. If the Governor is involved or even the Mayor, you know shit has hit the fan.
  15. The Spider-Verse story was a shocker, I don't think Illumination is anywhere near as bad but I've seen videos of their workplace and it's so drab compared to Pixar and WDAS.
  16. Indiana Jones I think the costs were a mix of development and also the fact the film had to postpone filming due to Harrison Ford getting injured. It's similar to why Fast X had such a huge budget.
  17. The fact Disney grew in revenues in other areas suggests the company isn't going bankrupt any time soon.
  18. The writer's room minimum is one sticking point that I don't think the WGA are going to get.
  19. Theater Camp is also on the 25th August.
  20. There does seem to be a screen capacity issue which wasn't the case last year where August was pretty dire in terms of releases.
  21. TMNT wasn't able to beat Meg 2 even with a 7 day opening. Joy Ride had a terrible opening. Mission Impossible is still hanging on there, I know there's doom and gloom surrounding the domestic run but the UK run has been very successful.
  22. DH2 is WB's highest grossing movie in the UK and Barbie is looking to eclipse it.
  23. The Lion King made a lot of money though. A live action Shrek in a way would act a parody to those Disney live action remakes in the same way the original Shrek parodies classic Disney animation.
  24. Sony has to pay Marvel a percentage of the profits from any Spider-Man related film so Disney is likely quids in even without having to lift a finger.
