I would say drama and trolls exist pretty much everywhere, its more tame in FML than most places imo. They are improving the interface steadily over the past couple months or so; hopefully final touches will be in place if you do decide to come back. Clearly, your predicitons are on point so youre on solid ground. Good luck this week

It's possible it could. Though people having to "sleep on it" for an extra night may not be the best plan given the mixed WOM. The other Friday jumps for the holdovers appear to be normal at first glance

Not after opening weekend. There’s no Monday holiday to boost the Sunday this time. I believe Jurassic World’s second Sunday was also Father’s Day, which is the reason for its 2% drop

In that case, it could get pretty close. I think it would fall short, but this movie isn’t really following any rules so far

Yeah, Deadpool had Valentine’s Day boosting the Sunday gross. However, BP should have a good Sunday regardless, between a 15% and 20% drop given the Monday holiday.

Deep Wang’s data from earlier in the week seem to indicate that BP’s % of presales for opening night was lower than the last 4 100+ mil MCU films. So at least for advanced tickets, it appears to be more backloaded

That would be quite something. Would set the Saturday record by a very big margin. I think we’re pretty much capped at 70 until we get more inflation/more premium formats

I guess my main issue with Hostiles is it needs an incredible PTA hold to even cross 10 mil. Some say impossible. But perhaps it just didn’t click with the limited audience

Conveniently the source I used for showtime data in the Nielsen top 40+1 has some weird run-ins with data over the past 2 weeks, but rest assured, TLJ lost a ton in the markets that matter last weekend. Compared to say, MLK for Rogue One http://analyzer.fmlnerd.com/showtimes/Showtimes2016AwardsWeek7.html

I’m not saying it was the entire reason for the disparity this week, but TLJ lost IMAX/PLF last Friday while R1 didn’t. Now the playing field is level in that respect

Yeah Sunday should be much worse, but on the other hand the Friday should be better. TLJ lost PLF screens one week before Rogue One did
