  1. Still very skeptical about Flashpoint. As a concept it's a great idea for the DCEU like Days of Future Past was for the X-Men films but I'm not sure why general audiences would be interested in such a film when they weren't for Justice League. DoFP had the hook of having the original cast of X-Men returning. EDIT: Very disappointed (but not surprised) that no Superman film is listed in the slate.
  2. 3 MCU Films over $850M Worldwide in one year would be a great achievement.
  3. I was initially against the idea of having Wonder Woman 2 set in the past still before the events of BvS but after the Justice League fiasco it's best for the Wonder Woman films to stay as far away from the current day as possible. At least until WB/DC sorts things out hopefully before a potential Wonder Woman 3.
  4. Off topic but I totally forgot that the last non-Disney or Universal $1 Billion Film was Transformers: The Last Knight back in 2014. Thought Avatar 2 would definitely break that streak but with Fox either selling to Disney or Comcast...not sure when the next one is coming. Maybe Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald? Wonder Woman 2? Spider-Man: Homecoming 2? Bond 25?
  5. Don't like Disney acquiring more of the share of the market BUT since Fox is selling anyways and looking at the other bidders honestly Disney is probably the best option.
  6. Lex Luthor in BvS is many things. But boring and forgettable he is not unlike Steppenwolf.
  7. Steppenwolf's CGI didn't take me out of the film. Him being a boring, dull, weak villain did though.
  8. If anything it helped Taika Waititi become more confident in Chris Hemsworth's comedic chops for Thor: Ragnarok
  9. Is WB done with Snyder? Can't imagine they would want to worl together again after the whole JL controversy with the different cuts.
  10. In comparison on Tuesday Catching Fire: $16M +29.5% Mockingjay Part 1: $12.1M +35.1% Mockingjay Part 2: $11.4M +33% Fantastic Beasts: $9.3M +37.6%
  11. Hmm that's a good point. I was coming from the PR perspective that I think people associate Lasseter with Pixar more than Disney Animation but yeah you're right about him reviving Disney Animation from the early 2000s. Hopefully the "Story Trust" that has been put in place at Disney Animation can continue to thrive without him.
  12. I think this is probably going to have a worse effect on Pixar than Disney Animation even though Lasseter runs both.
  13. Hoping for $850M. Three MCU Films in a year making over $850M would be pretty cool
  14. He predicted JL would finish at $785M Worldwide. It'll probably do $100M less than that in the end.
  15. The actuals for Justice League better be wildly different to the $96M figure or it's going to be anti-climatic when they do eventually reveal them.
  16. Everyone talks about Frozen being a great story about two sisters (which it is) but Lilo and Stitch did it better. One of the more mature Disney films too when you look deeper into it.
  17. It'll be fine OS. It might not do as well as Doctor Strange but $300M+ is a safe bet.
