  1. Having a pretty bad day today just wish I could go home now and watch Westworld
  2. So I assume this is coming Summer 2020. Seems like DCEU's schedule post-Wonder Woman 2 is slowly taking shape.
  3. Yeah I reckon Fallen Kingdom outgrosses TLJ. Wouldn't have predicted that 6 Months ago.
  4. Regardless it's hard to believe that it's been 5+ years since Man of Steel and we still haven't gotten another Superman film. And I don't think another is coming for quite a while.
  5. I imagine the Thor/GOTG scenes will be very much different to perhaps the "Civil War-esque" scenes back on Earth.
  6. Well at least if this fails this time nobody can say "well it failed because there was no James Cameron involved". I'm cautiously optimistic about this as it seems like Cameron is taking personal responsibility for the film this time around as Tim Miller is a good director. Please make this small scale too.
  7. Fortunately recasting characters like Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Beast, Angel and Ice Man will be much easier for Marvel. I imagine a rebooted MCU X-Men would focus on the original X-Men team from the comics.
  8. I've admittedly only seen Avatar once the whole way and didn't get a chance to see it in cinemas but am planning a rewatch very soon. I at least can admire Cameron for taking the time to make the sequels (hopefully) great. Preproduction on these films is paramount.
  9. It's not really moving the goalposts. Most people thought Black Panther would make around $400M to $500M OS and some weren't sure about its performance in Asia. $600M+ OS is a massive success (thought I expect the sequel may drop OS).
  10. The power scale in relation to the hero right? Cause Ego is way more powerful than Vulture but because Vulture was versing Spider-Man he seemed more dangerous than Ego versing a Peter Quill who could draw from the same power as Ego could. If Iron Man actually personally got involved Vulture would have been easily defeated.
  11. I must admit I kinda wish we got Snyder's full vision from BvS all the way to JL 2. Would have it been good? Probably not but it would at least not be completely generic or trying to be Marvel (without actually understanding why Marvel works so well) that JL ended up being.
  12. I still think Shrek 2 is one of the best Animated Movie Sequels and is Top 3 of Dreamworks' Best Films. A little bit sad that all these years later Dreamworks has yet to make a film that made more money than any of the Shrek films unadjusted in North America. EDIT: Though I guess maybe Madagascar and Kung Fu Panda had more admissions than Shrek Forever After
  13. Yeah I hope the sequel goes a bit more weird with the visuals. I wanna see Doctor Strange travel to other dimensions which sounds like that might be the case if Nightmare is the villain. 4 years is a good gap for this particular franchise too though I think we're gonna get plenty of Doctor Strange in 2019 with Avengers 4 and probably appearing in the Spider-Man sequel.
  14. China Box Office never fails to surprise Isn't that why we love following it?
  15. Hey that was a pretty fun movie. Some of the character development was a little rushed and sometimes there's so much going on the screen it becomes too much but overall I think most people will like this film and importantly the references aren't a crutch the film needs to rely on to enjoy it. The one exception I will say is there's one set piece where if you haven't seen a certain film (which I hadn't) the impact of it was lost a little on me. But yeah visually while it can be too much many times I was sitting there going "wow they are really going for it" in terms of volume and for the most part Spielberg and ILM pull it off. 7/10
  16. Oh for sure it's just he was arousing too much suspicion so he had Bancroft do it for this Test. He did a terrible job apparently because the ball didn't change according to the umpires lol. Still find it hard to believe Lehmann wasn't in on it but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Still needs to go as coach though after the series.
  17. The only way to cheer me up from this is a Matt Renshaw 100 and Maxwell reverse sweeping us to a glorious win.
  18. Well I'll be spending more time here after the fiasco with the Australian Cricket Team has turned me off the sport for a while
  19. Though the question is whether Deadpool peaked already in interest with the first. Unlike say GOTG or Wonder Woman which while both had very good Opening Weekends weren't mind blowing like Deadpool's was in context with an R Rating. Idk I can see a small decrease in Opening Weekend from the first while Solo will ensure smaller legs than the first too.
  20. So I just rewatched the first one and I still enjoyed it for the most part even though it does take time to get going. But yeah Uprising just looks like another Transformers film.
  21. Why not? (unless you're counting Infinity War) Sure JW and Incredibles have 1 and 2 but Solo has a good shot of beating the other contenders like Ant-Man and the Wasp, Deadpool 2 and Mission Impossible: Fallout
  22. I'll guess $150M Opening Weekend $420M Domestic $480M OS Should have a decent increase Overseas but don't see it increasing much in North America
  23. Yeah Snyder's constant posts which have been oddly JL related for the past couple of weeks
