Can I switch universes? How could WB allow Disney to beat them at making a young superhero team up film when they have the Teen Titans ready to go! Gunn’s reboot can’t come soon enough!! Also when do you think they’ll officially announce Miller isn’t returning or will they even announce that?

When was the last time a weekend thread where a DC film opened up, went drama/controversy free? At this point I need to start making my low end predictions my high in predictions when it comes to DC.

2025 can’t come soon enough! I’m scared for Blue Beetle though… if The Flash is struggling this much then Jaime has no chance.

I hope Blue Beetle does well at the box office! But good to know he’ll be back regardless! Xolo is too good a casting to waste!

When was the last time though? 4-5 years ago? 6 underperformances in a row. Maybe the franchise needs a rest, like Star Wars did

Man, DC’s reboot is about to bomb hard in 2025! The might want to reconsider a shared universe and just do individual character driven films for the main draws. As for The Flash, it’s going to be brutal online this weekend! This film is going to be torn apart if it doesn’t get 100M opening weekend! At least have a 9 or 8 in front because a 6 or a 7 is just horrendous! I’m seeing it on Sunday, so hopefully it’s a good film… though I doubt they’ll announce getting rid of Ezra anytime soon (they’ll wait until The Flash has finished its run). Please Blue Beetle, be drama free!

For what it’s worth, Blue Beetle has a much better views/likes ratio than all the previous DC films released in the last 3 years (outside of the Batman of course). it’s in the 400K-500K range on YT, similar to Black Adam but way above The Flash (200K range), Shazam 2 (100K range), TSS (100K range) and Birds of Prey (300K range). The Batman (1M) and WW84 (700K) beat it though… maybe a 40-50M opening is in the cards? Hoping for one in the 50’s

Budget is 120M. Just needs to match the first Shazam and it’ll be profitable. Maybe the character will even get added into Gunn’s new DCU… Booster Gold is getting a show after all and superhero’s will already be established in that universe

Two films out of how many though? 2/7 is not a good average at all, plus the fact that Batman/Joker are DC’s biggest guns and they’re also their own things. Think DC needs a decade long break. Make the fans miss the brand again That would be great for such a small budget! Think it only needs to pass 300M to be successful. That’s doable imo. Guess we’ll find out in a few weeks when tracking comes on board. If the numbers are low, well it’ll be another drama filled DC release! As for the Flash, hoping it does good, too bad 100M looks out of sight

So looking at the data being posted here, so far Flash is looking like a disappointment? That sucks, DC needs a win after the last 5 years worth of disappointments. Now I’m extremely worried about Blue Beetle, if Flash is struggling, can’t imagine he’ll do any better, even with the Latino angle going for it. When do films usually start presales? Need to prepare for the worst when it comes to Blue Beetle (he’s my fav DC character, other than Raven).

Well at least the next DC movie thread won’t be as hostile/controversial, unless Xolo Maridueña does something bad between now and August, not counting that his nudes got leaked As for The Flash, I’m looking forward to finally watching it! It’s been such a controversial movie and its been so exhausting following the conversation on this film practically everywhere! I haven’t bought my tickets yet because I usually take my siblings to the movies and I’m waiting for my sister to tell me her work schedule that week, especially since Flash is her favorite superhero! Two more weeks!

What really? As a Latino American I always saw Miles as a Black character or African American, always thought everyone else felt the same. I know there was a lot of discourse recently on Twitter about Blue Beetle vs Miles and I saw a lot of Latinos saying they saw Miles as a Black character and not a Latino character… interesting

People want superhero fatigue to be a thing so bad! Truth is, it’s just bad/generic super hero films fatigue.

Don’t underestimate Latin America like that! Also I’m curious how it’ll do in East Asia because Blue Beetle has a very Guyver/Super Sentai/Kamen Rider type of aesthetic. Also for what it’s worth, Blue Beetle already trounced Shazam 2 and Black Adam on social media. Tik Tok has the trailer at 3x the views of the Shazam 2/Black Adam. I think Gen Z and younger Millennials are going to carry this film to success! (Very smart playing this in front of Mario).

Lol Blue Beetle already beat Spiderverse on Sunday when both released teases if that’s what you’re talking about. I’m thinking Barbie is gonna dominate tomorrow. Blue Beetle is also trending #1 on YT and has been trending for the past two days on Twitter so the trailer did its job! That didn’t happen for Shazam, Black Adam or TSS. Think only Flash and The Batman managed that recently.

Going to be the biggest show in streaming when it premieres for sure! WB finally does something smart! 7 seasons all being much closer to the books and rebuilding the brand… that’s smart. The OG trio was never going to return for a reunion so it’s best to move on

Seen the trailer and man this film better make money! I want to see a sequel with the Reach and all the aliens! Plus Jaime is a great character! Love the suit!!
