  2. It wasn't hilaribad like the Room and not something I'd want to rewatch for fun, but I couldn't help but laugh several times. There was a particular concert scene that I'll never forget. Overall, it has terrible editing with random scene jumps from present to past without any cues. Waste of talented actors. The dubbing was obvious (but understandable). A friend asked if a scene was a flashback and was actually unsure of about the fate of Rebecca Fergeson's character. Random story threads were added and dropped and the movie had several characters make stupid choices. The police also seemed uncaring and incompetent. And the ending was meh. At least we saw that Norway is beautiful in the winter.
  3. I liked that movie.... Edit: I mean I liked BatB (2017) for what it was, a live action copy of the animated movie with a couple of new songs. Maybe it's a nostalgia thing, but I was happy with it.
  4. The Snowman October 20, 7:40 PM, 75% full Cinemark Trailers: arrived late so missed most of it 80% of Justice League (laughs) Jigsaw Murmurs and laughter during several scenes. The guy next to me said he had to take some business calls and actually answered the phone in the theater before he made the wise decision to leave. Same guy called the movie trash at the end. Someone in my group fell asleep midway. Whole theater seemed relieved when it ended.
  5. I'd give it a D only because I don't think any movie deserves a F. You could sense the relief everyone felt when it finally ended.
  6. So this movie was a laugh...as in we laughed through most of it in disbelief. Someone fell asleep too. Just a disjointed mess of a movie. Half the scenes should've been in a different movie and there was only one scene that felt like a thriller. It had poor music choices and wasted good actors. Thank God for moviepass.
  7. Watchmen is definitely the superior movie. I'm still surprised it wasn't a critical and financial success. Despite the ensemble cast, I felt something about every character. BvS made me ambivalent about Superman's death...and I love everything Superman.
  8. Have they started filming for this? I read that Jenny Slate is in Atlanta now.

  10. My friends have been excited to see this because of the trailers and we got tickets before seeing reviews. Disappointed it's turning out to be a dud.
  11. I think the trailer looks good, and I don't get why Disney has a hard time promoting multiple movies. I guess because they all have overlapping demographics, though you'd think Disney would make more of an effort for something that doesn't have a franchise to build interest. I hope the movie is good and does well despite the lackluster marketing.
  12. I try not to get involved in the 'fan wars' much and really should've stuck to that today. I apologize for contributing to the derailment of this thread. As far as the trailer goes...I'm not much of a horror movie fan and don't know anything about the comic books, but I like the actors. It looks interesting, but wasn't what I'd expected.
  13. Wow. The Cinemark near me has already sold out 8 of the 10 shows for Thursday. And the remaining 2 are almost full. Sucks I'll be traveling when this opens so I won't be able to see it on OD. Will have to avoid spoilers.
  14. I think most found your BO prediction reasonable. That's why you weren't challenged about it. High 600m to high 700m has been the range I've seen posted so far. No one thinks TLJ is going to match TFA. It's just that you kept repeating yourself as though you wanted a reaction. At least that's what it came off like to me. It's fine if that wasn't your intention.
  15. I don't think anyone would care as much if you afforded others the same generosity to voice their opinions, good or bad, on movies you like and are excited for. Anytime someone disagrees with you on Justice League's potential BO or the trailers, you take it as an affront. Now you're doing the same thing to other movies and expect everyone to accept it.
  16. He's not the only one. Mark Hughes did as well. Oh well. They can admonish, but based on the replies, the fans don't care and will continue to feel justified bashing movies that are too 'fun' or too 'dark'.
  17. @TwoMisfits said it best. Maybe the marketing should've included exposing mainstream and young audiences to the first movie. I'm not sure where it's shown in schools, but I'd never heard of this and the first movie until 2 months ago. Apparently it's showing on SyFy this week, and is on YouTube to rent, but making it easily available by having it on Netflix or Amazon may have helped. The fact that it's a sequel promotes the idea that you need to watch the first one, despite assurances on the contrary. Plus yeah, these past few weeks haven't been pleasant.

  19. Welp. There goes my derby. Not really interested in watching the movie, but figured with everyone being so hyped about it plus higher presales, that it'd at least get past 50m. It worked for It, I was hoping WB would get BR49 there too. Good thing I went down from 63m to 54m, but it's still going to miss that by >10m....
  20. Oh yikes. Didn't know it got cancelled... Yeah I guess that's what it was for Leighton, in that she stood out in one role, but hasn't managed to do so in other roles. Whereas Blake is more memorable in all her roles.
