    Don't knock on Terry Crews. He's hilarious on Brooklyn Nine Nine. Some of Sandler's mainstays are just worse than he is, but others, like Crews and Rock, are potentially funnier people just wasted on useless and embarrassing roles, which is the fault of Sandler.Sandler should have picked someone else to be the President, though.

    I'll say this. The action was good. It just has no place in a Mission: Impossible movie.

    Duly noted, but does a 3x multiplier off of a 14M opening weekend really make it as special and well liked as a movie that achieved the same multiplier off of a weekend 4 times higher?

    At the same time, the director wanted to make Purge 2 more than 1 for obvious reasons. If he had the budget the first time around, we probably won't have gotten what we did with Purge 1. We probably wouldn't have gotten that story in any Purge film at all.

    It's not just far-fetched their method of transforming. It's the fact that we barely see any of that during the final battle. Everyone is overwhelmed pre-Dinobot attack with these new sand-dispersing Decepticons and yet they're able to take them out as easily as in the other movies' final battles.

    I think it was stated that the third takes a look into the history of the Purge and the New Founding Fathers.

    Nice for Purge. Should overtake the first film in due time.

    If there were a couple parts I could have done without, they were the neighbor breaking in to molest the mother and daughter and the coworker of the mother who was killed by her sister for having an affair with the sister's husband.

    What about Purge? Its 11-day total should be higher than its predecessor's.

    Another underestimated weekend for Purge.

    Still not much in the way of acting recently. Gossip Girl seemed to end quietly, so she seemed to go quietly into the night. Speaking of Gossip Girl, my new crush Melissa Fumero had a recurring part on that show before Brooklyn Nine Nine.

    Definitely an improvement over the first. I'd have said some lines differently, though.

    You could blame Orci, Kurtzman, and Lindelof also for scripting something so generic and dreary for C&A.

    Purge might get a 100% increase Thurs-Fri? Impressive for that kind of film in the summer. I'm gonna see it tomorrow.

    Exactly. Let's not forget how Lucy is significantly different from what was advertised.

    Yeah, I don't get why some call this a horror movie aside from its predecessor being one.
