  1. Shazam was what, 140:180 DOM:OS-C split. Not sure this can match that DOM. Suspect it will be OS friendlier. Maybe 200-250M.
  2. 15M FS for BB, cume 145. Ride Along added 4.1x SB FS RA2 3.75x Book Eli 3.4x 200 still on the table imo, will take some good holds.
  3. The idea that F9 will have some days where ticket have been up for more than 50 days and the movie still doesn’t come out for more than 50 days is just so comically delightful. From an extrapolation standpoint though, pure bollocks.
  4. Universal is just helping us out so we have comps for the next 112 day PS run
  5. Female films are hit less by Super Bowl, think that can convert to low 3s. Good, but not unexpectedly so, imo.
  6. Gonna bet on F. Rhythm Section will muddle through with a D+ or something, tragically depriving us of a record setting month.
  7. Aside from the fairly obvious principles that 1) the longer until theaters reopen, the more every movie is hurt 2) movies with bad or medium reception will be affected the worst We really can’t say anything more at the moment. There is literally not a single living being on Earth with a good idea of how this will play out.
  8. Wow, I didn’t realize the TC cracked 3000. I was literally wondering yesterday if Hoot’s record would ever be broken, and here we are with a legit shot 🤣
  9. It’s financially alright-ish with the low budget, should head for a 7M weekend or so. In the end it’s still yet another horribly received January horror movie that very few people will see and everyone forgets about in 2 weeks.
  10. Wandavision 1) Eternals Falcon and Winter Soldier 2)Black Widow Raya Jungle Cruise Mulan Lovebirds 355 Dune No Time to Die 10)WW84
  11. There were 9 wide releases this January (pure January release, not counting 1917 or Just Mercy). They currently average under 40 on Critic RT (35 without BB) and 51 on Aud RT (45 without BB). Absolutely astonishing, of the 120 months we’ll have this decade the first might have the worst average RT %s for wide releases.
  12. 3 is weak. Just ties Oct 2000, and without even having a double weekend. Rhythm Section has a 29% audience RT atm, let’s go for 4
  13. Yes. We know. It kind of feels like you just found about about the coronavirus today with the way you’ve been posting, but the “news” of everything related to Chinese cinema being indefinitely shutdown is like a week old now.
