I really hope that MCU personalities don’t make a big thing out of Avatar’s record. If it doesn’t happen, looks super embarrassing. If it does, still more classy to only mention it after.

Well there’s a whole lotta subjectivity packed into there. Aladdin is having a run to be remembered for years, those other movies are not really.

Homecoming just over 6x the 2-day, so it seems like this debut would put it in reasonable contention to beat IW and enter top 5 live action SH.

As an MCU stan, bullet dodged. As a a fan of good movies that people have poured lots of hours into actually being able to see the light of day... hopefully it can somehow manage a release at some later date

Huh. This is a bit counterintuitive, but I guess explained by people who are free e.g. Wed morning being more likely to take advantage by seeing a movie late Tues and sleeping in rather than actually seeing it on that Wed morning?

For now, if Maoyan jumps I think it would be to .3 instead of .1 Since morning the 1-2 % is from 3->2.8, and 9-10 % 83->83.5

Top 3 at the BO today with Maoyan of 9.2,9.3, and 9.1 right now. Pretty nifty.

Probably won’t hold, but still an incredible improvement from the first entry! Really better than I dared to hope, excellent news. Now I’m curious about the largest Maoyan jumps for a sequel.

Wow, you lucky dog. The tracking, daily, Avengers, and Avatar threads have been afore with the news for like a week. Theater count roughly doubled domestically, presales seems strong. Internationally varies market to market. No one really knows knows what to expect, I think it’ll be 4M+ though.
