This has got to be the funniest shit I’ve ever seen on the forum.

I’ve been around enough that I’m starting to realize there’s lots of users who post comments that are either insightful, informative, or funny like 80%+ of the time. And some who 80%+ of the time have posts filled with essentially nothing, or that are actively detrimental to having a good discussion. I’m planning on frequent this palace for years to come, so with quote ignore realized it’s time to be a bit more aggressive about filtering out that latter category. Maybe I can relax some of that once this exhausting topic is officially done for and the aftermath has settled (like, 2020).

Audience rating clearly being inflated by being drawn exclusively from a pool of people who decided to buy tickets to a showing that finished 2:45AM Tuesday (or later). Seems safe to say that it will settle down in the 90s though, likely strong WOM incoming, even more crucial for a 6-day.

No. I’m literally the guy who made the AEG over Avatar club, before most people thought it was possible, and you people have still, somehow, managed to make me sick of this incessant EG vs Avatar crap that’s been all over the place for weeks with exaggeration, hyperbole, needless insults and baiting, and freak outs from all sides. I think it’s time to finally add some people who are nominally on my “side” to my ignore list for sanity.

These estimates have it at 91.6% of MIBI. On Sunday it was 91.8%. It’s a summer day with Canadian holiday. You’re freaking out over something utterly unremarkable here.

Seems like a normal drop for Endgame... I mean, I guess that fact in itself is good if you were concerned it would collapse or something, but some other movies listed held about as well or better. Speaking of, killer 6th Monday for Aladdin. It’s down less than 7% week-on-week ( @Ledmonkey96). Canuck holiday, but still. Charlie, don’t suppose you have an estimate for the CAN vs US component there vs last Monday?

It could just be a throwaway gag. Fury wasn’t doing anything important, just on a VR vacation. This would be, imo, out of character and very stupid. I don’t think they’ll do it. It could relate in a very unexpected way to some other franchise. GotG3? Nova? Sentry? Silver Surfer? This would feel kind of unearned and disjointed, and is a bad idea. I don’t think they’ll do it. It could payoff in CM3, if 2 is another prequel like some people were hoping. This would be waiting far too long for payoff. It’s a bad idea, and I don’t think they’ll do it. So yeah, logically it seems like CM2 is far and away the best option. But there’s enough other options to make me just ever so slightly nervous.

Cracking 350 could be tough, though certainly possible. Flying past 650 though.

EDITH was such a silly plot device/McGuffin. If they couldn’t find a way to make this plot work without that being so absurd, I’d have rathered a different plot entirely. Still, almost everything else works pretty well (May is still underdeveloped though, as is MJ really). Handled Endgame fallout really well. Overall maybe 7.5/10. Oh, and it’s pretty crazy that a lot of the movie hinges on the post credits Talos+wife reveal. I’ll forgive that under the assumption that Fury+Kree stuff gets paid off in CM2 or whatever.

Yep. Reexpansion weekend went pretty decently. Unclear how quickly it will fall, but many are thinking it will get close enough that Disney will make it happen with another expansion/release later this year.

Rating has climbed to 9.3/8.75 now. Endgame+Parasite+Aladdin+FFH released in a 70 day window, may do a combined 45M+ admits. Insane time for SK BO.

To be totally honest, I don’t think A5 will exist. Expecting a name change of some kind for the new teamup franchise, leave Avengers with a sense of finality. Of course, if they go with New Avengers, the acronym will be NA1... and at that point it’s just destiny 😎

That I’ve seen, climbed from 8.8->8.9->back to 9.0->9.07->9.10->9.14->9.09->9.13->9.17. Still very small number of ratings and the volatility that comes with that, but starting to wonder if it could remain above 9. Would be superb. Edit: got up to 9.21, but back to 9.03 now. ... and back to 9.21, 9.27, 9.29
