They should’ve at least waited another 5-10 years before making something like this. Also, Brad Pitt does not seem like a very ideal person to produce a film like this, and I’m not just saying that because he worked with Weinstein before. I don’t think this is a movie that has no right to ever be made, but right now, and with Brad Pitt producing?

Since WB is attending Comic Con this year, does anyone suppose we’ll hear something about this movie by then?

I’m talking about the schedule that Marvel unveiled in 2019 for SDCC. James Gunn’s initial firing happened before that, which made BW the first movie of Phase Four.

From what I recall, L&T was originally billed as the final movie of Phase Four. This was back before COVID forced Marvel to change things around.

Multiverse of Madness had a pretty troubled production as well.

China seems to love Avatar and James Cameron. Maybe the CCP will make an exception for him.

Not that it makes much of a difference, but NWH was just under two and a half hours. Regardless, it is the longest Spider-Man movie thus far, but it’s difficult to tell if that movie was a unique case, due to technically being a joint production. It wouldn’t surprise me if Disney saw the underwhelming numbers for Eternals and decided that the problem must have been its length.

Guys… There won’t be a sequel.

It’s pretty funny that a thread for a movie that came out eight months ago is seeing new activity based off some random tweet that claims there will be a sequel.

Outside of Wakanda Forever and The Way of Water, the rest of 2022 is looking pretty boring.

If they were to include Galactus in an Eternals 2, they could say that he’s a rogue Celestial, but then again, Ego also claimed to be a Celestial, so I don’t know. The God hierarchy of the MCU is convoluted, especially after L&T. I still don’t see why that article would be proof that it’s happening, though. It’s from last November, and it doesn’t even seem like a credible source.

Consider me skeptical.

The Avatar fandom seems so chill compared to most other fandoms.

If this movie had to be made, it should’ve been a colorful space adventure in the vein of Guardians of the Galaxy, not Interstellar.

When was the last time that big trailers for SDCC happened? 2018?

Was Jojo Rabbit the thing that caused Film Twitter to turn against Waititi, or was it those paparazzi photos from last year, along with his performance in Free Guy?

This movie didn’t need to be two and a half hours, but maybe an extra five or so minutes wouldn’t have hurt. The pacing is a little too fast.

I mean, the first SLoP did big business back in 2016, but the sequel in 2019? Maybe the movie will do ok, but I don’t know if I can imagine it breaking out.

I’m not convinced people are gonna go crazy over an Ant-Man movie, so it looks like the pressure is on BP2.

I got a bit of mood whiplash from this movie, considering the fairly serious way it opened, but as a whole, I can’t say I feel strongly about the comedy one way or the other. The humor in these movies all sort of blend together for me at this point. GotG was novel for its time, but now it just feels like the norm. Maybe that’s a problem people are having with Phase Four in general. We know how this franchise works, so there aren’t many surprises left. NWH had the novelty and the nostalgia factor going for it, but beyond that, I’m not sure what there is left.
