I would’ve preferred them doing that instead of a multiverse story. I’m still eager to hear the story on how and when this came to be a multiverse movie.

They’re still working on the VFX? I thought they were all finished with post-production, hence why it has an MPAA rating and an official runtime? Edit: Ah, I see now. That seems crazy to me, but I’m not an expert on post-production.

I believe it was in fact confirmed that Tail’s appearance in the stinger of the first movie was a late addition that was thrown in to please the fans, just like the echidna tribe. It’s baffling to me that a Hollywood adaptation in 2019 would be made with as little acknowledgement of the source material as possible, but that was apparently Paramount’s MO with the Sonic movie, before they got backlash from that initial trailer.

So, Tails is keeping his voice from the games, but Sonic and Knuckles aren’t? I thought for sure that O’Shaughnessy was just a placeholder for that one stinger, but I guess not.

This movie has Thursday night previews that begin at 3:00 PM. That’s practically an entire extra day. If it doesn’t cross $200 million after that, then that would be mildly concerning.

I’m not sure what a new Spider-Man trilogy is supposed to entail at this point. You already have him fighting alternate versions of some of his biggest villains in this movie. What’s there left to do, other than having him fight Tom Hardy’s Venom?
