  1. Most people don’t seem very mad at Johnny Depp for suing Amber Heard. There are a lot of people who are taking his side.
  2. I said the comparison wasn’t apples to apples, but regardless, Tenet is a big budget action thriller that’s directed by one of the most bankable filmmakers at the moment. It’s not like it was something that people were writing off as a flop before it was released. Also, there’s no way of knowing how much of a success WW84 will be. It probably won’t make as much in North America as the first one, and overseas seems like it could go either way. Still, I realize that WB will want the movie to be as successful as possible, otherwise it probably would’ve already come out this week.
  3. Well, Tenet was directed by the guy responsible for WB’s two biggest domestic hits of all time, but I guess that’s not quite an apples to apples comparison. Fine, point taken, but if these delays keep up, this movie is going to become the new New Mutants.
  4. I say just let the thing come out in December, and if it flops, oh well.
  5. That does make me a bit more hopeful that it’s not the same version of the character, but I guess we’ll need to wait till we have more information. At the very least, if they’re going to go through the trouble of using the same version of the character, why bother redesigning him? It’s not like the MCU is a stranger to blue people.
  6. Upon looking back at Man of Steel, I think I’ve regained some of my past appreciation for it. It’s a flawed movie for sure, but I do like the ideas behind it, and I do genuinely like the prologue on Krypton, even if it perhaps goes on longer than it needs to. I was actually one of those people who defended the movie back in the day, and despite its rough spots, I was cautiously optimistic that it would lead to something better and brighter. I mean, the last shot of the movie is literally Clark Kent smiling.
  7. Pretty much all the major studios have wonky management these days. In Disney’s case, you need to look no further how than they handled Star Wars.
  8. I could’ve sworn he was already attached to a Marvel project, but I guess I misremembered. That would be pretty neat.
  9. In all honesty, I’d be a little disappointed if they go with a Spider-Verse story for this. I’d rather they just focus on dealing with the ramifications of the end of FFH. I think that’s interesting enough to justify its own movie.
  10. The big thing that confuses me about the prospect of this being a multiverse movie is that it’s currently set to come out before DS2. Wouldn’t that steal some of the thunder away from that movie?
  11. I didn’t think it was possible, but 2020 keeps finding new ways to surprise me. If this is a multiverse thing though, I have to wonder why they’d want to bring in something from TASM2.
  12. From what I understand (don’t quote me on this), he’s supposed to direct a film for Searchlight Pictures, so maybe that’s why he’s doing this?
  13. Since this is Disney we’re talking about, it seems fair to assume that the only reason they chose Barry Jenkins is because they wanted to make it seem like this movie has some prestige behind it, and not because they want him to give his unique voice for TLK.
  14. I’ve been saying that they should just skip the Oscars this year, but the Academy seems hellbent on having it no matter what.
