  1. Wasn't he unaware of the prison labor? Also, how many non-white soldiers were in the British army in WWII? I’m just wondering.
  2. It’s not even a shitty thing to begin with. A of Twitter checkmarks had to make the argument that Nolan is ableist in order to make their point more compelling.
  3. I’ve always believed that an animated film was the way to go after the Platinum Dunes movies. Good to see that the people at Paramount agree.
  4. I actually don’t follow anyone on Twitter. I don’t even have a Twitter account. I just happened to come across his tweets when I was searching through Twitter, and I’ve seen enough of his videos to know that he’s pretty salty towards people who love TDKT.
  5. People on Twitter seem to have this idea that Christopher Nolan is a stuffy and cold prima donna who thinks highly of no one but himself. MovieBob in particular seems insistent on this interpretation. It’s like these people are projecting their dislike of his films and his fanbase onto him as a person. If people find his movies pretentious, that’s one thing, but by all accounts, the people who work with him are perfectly fine with doing so. Hathaway was actually praising him in that interview that the chair quote was pulled from.
  6. On second thought, it’s not a “pretty stupid reason”, it’s an extremely stupid reason. The Twitter mob must be bored out of their minds if this is what they’re resorting to.
  7. These past few posts have really served to remind me of just how much trouble movie theaters are in.
  8. The (awful) CW shows already established the multiverse years ago, and they did a crossover at the end of last year/beginning of this year where it was revealed that the Burtonverse and the DCEU are part of that multiverse. I’m assuming this was likely planned at least as soon as Muschietti signed on to direct.
  9. I don’t care what actors from previous films and television shows they bring into their little multiverse, as long as they leave Nolan’s Batman universe out of it. Oh, and it would also be extremely stupid if they tried to shoehorn Joker into this multiverse, but I cannot imagine any kind of scenario where Joaquin Phoenix would agree to sign on to something like that.
  10. Serious question, will Tina and Linda Belcher need to be recast, due to the fact that they’re voiced by men, despite being female? I’m not trying to be facetious here. I’m honestly wondering if people believe that something should be done about that.
  11. I wasn’t trying to suggest that it was. I’m looking forward to this movie. I’m just saying that a major part of the draw for this movie is Christopher Nolan’s name, and Nolan is someone who values the cinema experience. I’m saying that if this movie were directed by a lesser name, it first of all would probably have not cost $200 million, and second, the studio would probably be more willing to count their losses on it, given the current state of the world. My only point is that a major reason why WB is prioritizing this movie is because it’s directed by Christopher Nolan. I don’t see why that’s a controversial stance. Nolan is pretty much one of the only directors these days who can make such an expensive film that isn’t based on an established IP.
  12. If Christopher Nolan wasn’t such a big name director, WB would probably be considering dumping this on HBO Max right now.
  13. I seriously doubt that the public would boycott these films if the Joker doesn’t show up.
