  1. https://www.breitbart.com/entertainment/2019/12/15/jumanji-2-is-1-with-60m-richard-jewell-underperforms/ The comments section for this article sure is pretty fascinating, to say the least...
  2. Why does this thread have to turn into a discussion about people supporting alleged or proven child molesters? I know this thread is meant to be a shit show, but what the fuck? Can we not go there?
  3. Man, Birds of Prey is tracking really low. I don’t know if I should be happy that a movie starring Harley Quinn might flop, or if I should be depressed at what that would say about the state of DC.
  4. Actually, Billy is a teenager in the films. The first film established that he was 14 going on 15. It would’ve been better if they had him be a pre-teen, but I guess that would’ve been difficult to work with.
  5. They should just make it an HBO Max exclusive. Same goes for that Trench movie.
  6. If this movie moves to March, then either Matrix 4 or John Wick 4 should move to August 6.
  7. Holy crap, Asher Angel is going to be almost 20 by the time this movie is released. I know that an adult playing a minor is nothing new in Hollywood (it’s exactly what Tom Holland is doing with Spider-Man), but I’d have to assume that he’s going to look a good deal older by the time they film this movie. That’s to say nothing of the film after that.
  8. Looking at the 2022 release schedule, yeah, I don’t think they had very many options for when to release this movie. Marvel has a whopping grand total of four films coming out that year. Better this movie be scheduled a week apart from the Spider-Verse sequel than for it to be scheduled a week or two apart from BP2.
  9. The Marvel Netflix shows never did feel like they were truly part of the MCU. I don’t just mean that tonally. The shows always had an extremely loose and one-sided connection to the movies, which isn’t surprising, considering that Kevin Feige wasn’t involved in any of them. It was always awkward when a show like Daredevil referenced characters like Iron Man or Captain America. It just never felt organic. It seemed like the only reason those shows were even “canon” to the MCU was for brand recognition.
  10. I’d have to assume that Jim Carrey was aware that he’d be expected to reprise his role for potential sequels when he first signed on.
  11. It would make them seem like they lack confidence in their movie. Not sure that’s the best kind of image to project.
  12. It’s just weird to me because when they did this with BvS, they backtracked and ended up moving the movie to March, and this was before it was even announced that CA3 would be based on the Civil War comics. Why are they doing this again?
  13. I don’t understand why WB is releasing it on the exact same day as another action movie starring Keanu Reeves. This just reminds me of the time they scheduled BvS on the same day as Civil War.
  14. Is the NFL still the top sport in the United States? The last Super Bowl had fairly low ratings. Then again, that might have something to do with how painfully boring it was.
  15. Well, that one was a reboot, while this is supposed to be in the continuity of the first two films.
