  1. Maybe they could move this to November and move Thunderbolts to May. Thunderbolts was originally meant to be the very next film after Cap 4 and the end of Phase Five anyway, right?
  2. Canceling Batgirl isn’t something I think can be justified no matter how you slice it. He could’ve just sold it to another streamer like they’re trying to do with the Wile E. Coyote movie. Also, the lengths they went to when they tried to sell people on The Flash completely blew up in their face. The various marketing stunts they pulled with that film will always be embarrassing. At the very least, I can concede that he hasn’t alienated talent away from WB, although he reportedly had a pretty difficult time finding someone to be the head of DC before settling on James Gunn and Peter Safran, because no one else apparently wanted the job.
  3. I don’t consider being a fan of what a corporation puts out to be the same as being a fan of the corporation itself. All I’m saying is that I’ve seen a lot of people go out of their way to root for WBD and defend David Zaslav from any kind of criticism, which I find embarrassing.

  5. Being a “fan” of any of these media conglomerates is silly, whether it’s WB, Disney, Universal, Netflix, etc. Corporations are not your friends. And yeah, it is annoying to me how a lot of people seem absolutely gung-ho about shilling for WB, especially on Twitter and Reddit. So many people seem deadset on praising/defending Zaslav at every possible step, just because they like DC.
  6. Four months has more or less become the standard at this point. Besides, GvK had its trailer released a mere two months before release.
  7. I don’t know why anyone would think this moving up two weeks would hurt its chances in anyway. The real downside here is that April is practically empty now.
  8. Isn’t Tom Cruise known to be a control freak? Why would people take this news to mean he’s going to be in the DCU?
  9. I just realized that this adds a whole new layer to all those articles last year about how much Tom Cruise loved The Flash. Lol
  10. I don’t know if Wan should be credited for this “success” anymore than the fact that they picked an ideal release date. I imagine this would’ve done much worse if it came out over the Summer or even in November.
  11. It probably wasn’t ever going to be a thing. It’s just something that came to mind when I saw that tweet.
  12. I’m getting flashbacks to when it was rumored that Fant4stic would be a found footage movie, similar to Chronicle.
  13. I’m not convinced Joker 2 will be much an Oscar contender. I think the reason the first one got as much love from the Academy as it did was because it sold itself as something radically different, and many felt Joaquin Phoenix was overdue for an Oscar win.
  14. Well, the good news is that its competition will likely be less stiff compared to if it had come out in 2023.
  15. Some anonymous Hollywood executives apparently believe this could be a billion dollar film, but then again, they were also apparently convinced The Flash would be a huge hit, so who knows? Being released over the holidays didn’t exactly hurt either.
  16. Twilight hasn’t been relevant in over a decade. That’s because hardly anyone cares about it anymore. Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have constantly poked fun at how terrible they think those movies are, and no one bats an eye.
  17. Does anyone who was born after 1985 even care about G.I. Joe? Were people actually excited about that sequel tease at the end of RotB that feels like it’s from a movie that came out 10 years ago? It comes off as very desperate, like they’re admitting they don’t know where else to go after Unicron.
  18. Wouldn’t it make a lot more sense to assume that “Elly Conway” is just Matthew Vaughn or Jason Fuchs or something?
  19. All I know is that Toby Emmerich definitely didn’t like Snyder, and if it were up to him, the Snyder Cut never would’ve seen the light of day. The AT&T higher ups were the reason for its existence.
