    Mario is the best selling video game franchise of all time. He has more wide appeal than Sonic, despite arguably having a less vocal fanbase. He’s Mickey Mouse, while Sonic is Bugs Bunny.

    Has anyone even suggested that they’re doing this to hide spoilers? I haven’t seen anyone assume that. As far as I can see, pretty much everyone is expecting this to be garbage.

    James Cameron’s always been the kind of director who likes to push the limits of technology in film. He’s never been a deep storyteller.

    The fact that Carano wants Disney to reinstate her says it all. She’s desperate for work. She wouldn’t be bothering with this if her stint with The Daily Wire had actually been successful.

    Isn’t she 2-4 years old in the first book? A literal toddler who talks and behaves like a grown adult would definitely approach uncanny valley territory, so they might as well embrace the weirdness of it.

    Everyone is taking it as a given that Kristen Ritter must be voicing Rouge, but the idea of the Sonic movie universe having Rouge but not Amy just seems weird to me.

    I’ve been saying that the only real way to handle Alia would be to make her CGI. The character is supposed to be creepy and off-putting anyway, so it should work.

    I imagine he realizes it’s far easier to get away with not being comic accurate when it comes to obscure characters like the Guardians of the Galaxy or Peacemaker than it is for Superman and Batman.
