Isn’t the Snow White remake coming out in theaters next year?

I don’t know what the hell you’re talking about, especially when I’ve made plenty of posts about what an idiot Zaslav is. All I said in regards to Gunn was that I’m tired of all the vagueness, and would like to get a concrete idea of what’s in store, so we can finally stop with all the endless speculation. Also, I do not like dudalb, so please do not group me in with them.

I think you’re are seriously overestimating how much the general public will care about that. Maybe the movie will underperform, but making less than $100 million? Even Black Adam managed to pass that with relative ease, and you’re telling me a movie with two Batmen won’t?

Why would it go that low?

Doing a full reboot at this stage still comes across as an awkward idea, unless they decide to wait at least a good five or so years before bringing in the new Wonder Woman and Aquaman. Recasting Henry Cavill is one thing, but Gal Gadot and Jason Momoa’s portrayals are ingrained in the public consciousness. They’ve even influenced how these characters have been depicted in other media.

I can fully acknowledge being impatient, but in my defense, Gunn did claim we‘d be hearing more about the slate this month. I’m just tired of all the endless speculation and vague statements.

Ok, I realize that people here are probably sick of me being a Negative Nancy, but there’s something I might as well get off my chest. Assuming that James Gunn’s plan is to reboot the DCEU, and recast the entire Justice League, including Wonder Woman and Aquaman, it seems more and more apparent that this wouldn’t apply to TSS and Peacemaker, which I would find to be more than a little vexing. I would have a certain degree of respect for the decision to do a reboot if Gunn actually committed to it, but if he’s just going to keep the stuff he personally worked on, then that is just plain annoying. Not only would doing that not make any sense in terms of having a cohesive universe (seriously, we even saw Jason Momoa as Aquaman and Ezra Miller as the Flash in Peacemaker), but it would also come across as just a tad unprofessional on Gunn’s part, given that much of the people involved with TSS and Peacemaker happen to have personal connections to him. To be clear, I’m not saying that Gunn isn’t allowed to put his brother, his wife or his pals in his movies, but if he’s going to be the head of DC Studios, I would hope that he could try to have some sense of professionalism, and not simply do things that would satisfy his own ego. Of course, I can concede that we still don’t know what exactly Gunn’s plans are, so I suppose it wouldn’t be fair for me to make any judgments at this stage. I just wish they would hurry up and let us know what’s going on.

Kudos to Disney for their persistence, I guess.

Can we blame him for choosing to devote several minutes to that pointless subplot with the Russian family, despite knowing full-well that the movie had to be under two hours?

It’s still outpacing TGM at this point. Maybe there’s still hope for it to come out on top?

The first movie only made around $105 million in China. Just something to keep in mind.

Phase Four was pretty rough, and I don’t know if an Ant-Man movie written by a Rick and Morty writer is going to be a great start to Phase Five, but I wish Marvel luck, I suppose.

I’d like to see snow Na’vi.

If you’re talking about the movie, it doesn’t really try to be funny, outside of a few relatively subdued moments. It’s one of the gloomiest films in the entire MCU, if not the gloomiest.

The way I see it, this movie was about getting us reacquainted with Pandora, which is why it reuses many of the same beats from the first one. Now that we got that out of the way, hopefully 3 will have more meat to it.

I assumed you posted on the wrong thread until I saw the small text at the bottom of that screenshot. Don’t we already have a basic idea of Avatar 3, though?

FYI, James Gunn has seemingly confirmed that season two of Peacemaker is still happening. So, I guess they’re not doing a hard reboot after all.

China’s quickly becoming a lost cause. Even Bob Chapek recognized that.

You really think there was ever a scenario where they would’ve recast Princess Leia?

Why didn’t Lucasfilm recast Leia?

They wouldn’t need to have the new Superman in this movie. They could save that for the solo movie.
