Yeah but this isn't his gut take but a data based take. And considering how Saturdays have been this year with families still a bit depressed, it's hardly inconceivable.

Yeah, I think people are maybe remembering TLJ huge drop caused by Eve but that was a Sunday. Here it won't be a big deal.

Yes, but if a "replaceable IP" was doing these numbers, then it wouldn't be replaceable anymore. Black Panther and Wakanda were not that well known before the film but now? Iconic.

So really meta and focused on Neo-Trinity romance? Eh. Makes sense from the trailers, but doesn't sound like the kind of Matrix sequel that would appeal to me. Though the action being bad isn't that big of a deal to me. Honestly I liked the freeway stuff in Reloaded more than any action in the original, but the first movie is still so much better because it has that energy and mystery throughout.

I mean 85% definite recommend is a great score. It even went up over the weekend to 88% I think.

Endgame is what I'm thinking of, had bad legs despite stellar WOM because everyone interested wanted to see it as soon as possible.

Fanbase rush limits the legs no matter how good the WOM is, I think legs here are still pretty uncertain.

3/10, worst episode so far. Character assassination of Perrin, plus the rest of it wasn't that great either. Only good parts were Nynaeve/Lan stuff, and the scene that began the episode was probably my favorite of the series so far, but after that it just got worse and worse.

When high 40s previews is a "disappointment," lol... Though I don't think we have enough info to say for sure, given that the differing preview start times make regional comps hard. Am waiting for Zack's data to see. -
There are a lot of other parts of the movie I dislike, but everything you say here is true. This scene has always been unjustly hated when in reality it is one of the best and most creative scenes in a superhero film.

It's been "ok" (fairly entertaining but below average by MCU standards) for me, but will probably be below WhatIf, FATWS, and WV in the end unless the finale is seriously great. Main issue is that the story feels very throwaway. We still don't even know what that watch thing does, and that is supposedly at the center of this whole mess.

Homecoming in 2017 grossed very similar to Ragnarok.
