  1. Like Mandalorian, S1 of this show ages quite well in hindsight. 9 great/very good episodes, 5 pretty good ones, and only 2 that I found meh, without a single one I disliked -- quite a good ratio compared to a lot of new sci-fi/fantasy shows that I have watched. I think I underappreciated it at the time, will bump up my rating from a B+ to an A-. For S2 my main hopes are some more expansion on the chips plotline, exploration of Nala Se's work on Mount Tantiss, and (most importantly) some more time for Tech and Echo.
  2. They are putting a lot more importance on this than WoT. The production values at least will be far better with the huge budget.
  3. Hmm, don't love the idea of putting multiple SW series out there at once. This show faces enough challenges as it is being animated and with a (perceived) high barrier to entry, going up against the most anticipated Star Wars show won't help.
  4. I guess it doesn't really show much or reveal anything that we didn't already know.
  5. Hopefully with this show having a bit of a gap since NWH (as opposed to Hawkeye coming very soon after Eternals) and DS2 not being anywhere near as hyped as NWH, it can retain some more buzz for itself. I think it also has an inherently more exciting premise for most MCU fans.
  6. Those were franchises with consistent ongoing release schedules. Here we have a 12-year gap so the second movie will likely be inflated a bit from that.
  7. I still think the first two Harry Potter movies are the best. Maybe because those books are easier to adapt but they felt like they really captured it well.
  8. This was a surprisingly weak episode after the second was pretty good. Action was poor, the new characters were undeveloped stereotypes, and the pacing felt really off. Hopefully it gets better.
  9. Yep even better the second time around, though I ranked it just below GOTG and it didn't quite close the gap there to move up. Still, other than the few pacing issues and Kro being underused, this movie really works well for me.
  10. I think the TCW movie is relatively decent, but its definitely not "Clone Wars at its most ridiculous." Stuff like Sunny Day in the Void (tbh that whole arc), Mercy Mission/Nomad Droids, Hunt for Ziro, or The Disappeared two-parter are a lot more bonkers (and those are awesome).
  11. Not how the GA viewed it. And I don't think it hurts the legacy of MCU success, it just shows that the Raimi/Maguire films are still beloved. Plus this being MCU did help expand the audience as well. As I said a couple of times when this sort of discussion comes up, its the crossover of two beloved series that creates this monster.
  12. Much better second episode. Both storylines vastly improved. Did lag a bit toward the end though.
  13. Quorum data is noisy and shouldn't be taken too literally. We know for sure that neither Batman trailer got anywhere close to the level of buzz of NWH trailer 1 or even NWH trailer 2.
  14. Wtf was this season. Both the Gaal and Terminus plotlines went absolutely nowhere interesting and the acting was pretty bad too. As good as the Empire stuff was, it wasn't enough to save this show.
  15. Biggest draw in the MCU is Thor. After NWH maybe Peter Parker. Wanda is quite popular but not in the A-tier...yet. But she'll get there unless her character arc is messed up.
  16. 2.5 hours, since that seems to be the new standard for blockbusters lmao (not complaining btw I have no issue with long movies).
  17. Quorum has been posting stuff on Reddit for a few months. Their data is nice to see, but like all of this type of awareness/interest tracking, it's super noisy and hard to predict from.
