You are right. I tried to challenge but you are sadly, unfortunately right. Although RDJ & Iron Man are just too formidable a combination for any blockbuster to overcome. Godzilla is rather dull & TASM2 is a lively popcorn entertainment that brings nothing new to the table. Electro is not a great villain. The Rhino is almost a false advertisement. XDOFP is OK, but looks like XMFC with better FX. Again too many new characters just pop out & sprawling plot continuity that gets GA confused. Anyway who cares, it will clean up OS like Spidey. And it is wrong not to bring Quicksilver to the weak finale

$1B WW is expected. Looks to repeat & give what TF3 had done. Pirates 4 has a lousy story, that OS gross still hit $800M, it's just insane this franchise thing. People tend to love familiar heroes. But how far can you go? Will Pirates 5, if green lit at all, go to Deathly Hallows 2's fantastical $960M OS?

I think SHREK 4 did more than $500M OS This one looks to be a strong candidate to outdo Wreck-It-Ralph $471M WW but rather doubtful it will reach Incredibles $631M WW

GODZ has some beautiful shots of monster rampage but it is thin for a movie with this kind of capital resource. And it doesn't have to be that long, the scene in Hawaii could be compressed into the final fight. The Vegas scene needs not to be shown at all. The military could be shown in a more active & positive light: you know, saving folks from death & destruction instead of going gaga over Godzie like the GA: "O my Godzie, my Gawdz!!" Shuddup put my tax dollars into work!

It's gonna be a huge OS year for Fox. Coming up : Dragon 2 ($500M), Apes 2 ($350M), Penguins of Madagascar ($400M), Night at the Museum 3 ($300M), Exodus ($300M). Exodus will do better OS number than Noah...hopefully.
