For me the scene where Michael tells Fredo he's not his brother or friend, and can only see their mother with Michael's permission is totally iconic. I get chills during that scene.

No one with half a brain thinks TA is having a better run than frickin' Titanic. Still, box office runs like TA don't come along too often... you should enjoy it.

I walked out halfway through Deathly Hallows Part 1, for a cigarette. It was annoying me so much I needed one.

Yeah I thought Avatar was lousy, but its box office performance is beyond criticism.

The Magnificent Ambersons. RKO hated Orson Welles' version so much they cut the last 45 miniutes, burned the negatives, and then got someone else to shoot a new happy ending that was totally out of place with the rest of the film.

Yeah, by that rationale Matrix Reloaded's $742m in 2003 was a more impressive run than Avatar

It was, but it had crazy legs because of people going again and again. It was basically Titanic for post-menopausal women.
