  1. Great entry into the series (which I've mostly enjoyed) and DreamWorks Animation seems to have positioned itself as second place to Pixar. B+

  6. Interestingly enough, I was on another forum and apparently the 3D version might be $19.99 to undercut the competition... Someone at DVD Talk posted this image from Target's online ad when hovered over the Avengers picture:
  7. IIRC, $19.99 for the BD/DVD combo pack and $24.99 for the 3D BD/2D BD/DVD/DC (and this one has a code to download the soundtrack as well) Combo Pack
  8. ^ Not sure if you're interested in features or not, but Target has an exclusive Avengers Blu-ray with a bonus disc containing 90-minutes of material.
  9. Well, to be fair that's the MSRP. In store (and online) it's around $65 and could get cheaper down the line.
  10. Got The Avengers in today as well as the Katy Perry Blu-ray I ordered through Wal-Mart.com with an autographed card inside.

  14. I generally agree with all of that. I gave it a 7/10 when I first saw it and it's been there since.
  15. If the title hadn't been "Halloween III", I don't think it'd receive the amount of hate it has. It's not terrible or anything but certainly not very good either with gaping plot holes littered throughout. As passing entertainment, it's fine but for me it doesn't possess much replay value. **¼/*****, (C-, 4.6/10, 2/4)
  16. Actually, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm was released theatrically:http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=batmanmaskofthephantasm.htm
  17. I agree though even the score, when it was that one note over and over and over really got on my nerves and not in a "I'm scared" kind of way either. And did you noticed Jamie Lee Curtis didn't have many lines? After the opening (which was the end of the first film), I swear she only spoke maybe 20 words total. Just seemed kind of odd.
  18. Watched this one today and thought it had potential but all in all, it's kind of a dull movie despite some great cinematography, visual effects and production design. Kirsten Stewart wasn't bad but to me she's the female equivalent of Sam Worthington: good looking, some modest amount of talent but ultimately make little to no impact with their characters. Speaking of which, I can't place too much blame on Stewart as none of these character are particularly well developed and I couldn't care less about their fate or the fate of the entire kingdom. Also, as over-the-top Charlize Theron was, and in a couple moments she got to Jeremy Irons from Dungeons and Dragons levels, she was the only person even keeping me awake. I can't say I hated the movie but despite it being over two hours (and felt longer), I didn't know a thing about any of the characters. Looks like it was a script in desperate need of repair in conjunction with someone else as Snow White who can make a more immediate impact. As it is, some scenes were entertaining but otherwise this is a film I'll no doubt forget about by next week. ***/*****, (C+, 5.9/10, 2.25/4)
