Watched this one today and thought it had potential but all in all, it's kind of a dull movie despite some great cinematography, visual effects and production design. Kirsten Stewart wasn't bad but to me she's the female equivalent of Sam Worthington: good looking, some modest amount of talent but ultimately make little to no impact with their characters. Speaking of which, I can't place too much blame on Stewart as none of these character are particularly well developed and I couldn't care less about their fate or the fate of the entire kingdom. Also, as over-the-top Charlize Theron was, and in a couple moments she got to Jeremy Irons from Dungeons and Dragons levels, she was the only person even keeping me awake.
I can't say I hated the movie but despite it being over two hours (and felt longer), I didn't know a thing about any of the characters. Looks like it was a script in desperate need of repair in conjunction with someone else as Snow White who can make a more immediate impact. As it is, some scenes were entertaining but otherwise this is a film I'll no doubt forget about by next week.
