  1. Decent if not forgettable movie that came late in John Wayne's career. ***/*****, (C+, 5.8/10, 2.5/4)
  2. Eh, despite some good visual effects, I found most of the movie kind of dull. It's nothing against the actors as they didn't have much to work with, but this is yet another instance where I found it hard to really get into a movie where the primary villains are CGI. **/*****, (D+, 4.2/10, 1.75/4)
  3. Bump. Anyone been watching? I just caught season three on DVD and watched eps 2 and 3 of this season.
  4. A little piece of my soul died watching this "movie". I laughed once and that was during the Howard skit and only the slow clap part, otherwise this was a terrible movie. This was down in the dumps alongside the Friedberg/Seltzer POS movies. ½*/*****, (F, 0.8/10, 0/4)
  5. Sure, confusion from one guy (Ray Subers)... Edit: Didn't know who he was until Googling him. Still, only one person unless there's a source rather than bad math.
  6. I agree. I think I said it before in another thread, but I'd just have the Nolan verse take place on Earth 2 and these (MoS and other DCU movies) on "this" Earth, including a Batman reboot (one that can be a bit more fantasy oriented and can include other villains in the gallery). I'd still like to see someone like Mr. Freeze done properly.
  7. Forgettable? Plotwise, maybe but bland? I disagree completely. Slightly off-topic (even more), say Warner does go forward with a sequel, who does everyone think should get the gig?
  8. It's going to make $100M this weekend. Period. The story now is how WOM will be and how good (or poor) of a hold it will have.
  9. A for the visual effects D for the acting So overall: C grade.
  10. Entertaining and mostly satisfying with good performances from Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto and that scene between the two was nearly as good as that in WoK. However, overall I didn't think it was as good ST09 and didn't really care for what they did with that ending. Still, it was a good way to spend 2+ hours. Right now, although I could lower it... ****/*****, (B+, 8.0/10, 3.25/4)
  11. What. A. Piece. Of. Crap. That is all. */*****, (F, 2/10, 0.5/4)
  12. Interesting bump. I had forgotten all about this thread.

  14. Wouldn't be a bad choice, but which will come first? A Batman reboot or a James Bond sequel without Craig?
  15. I enjoyed it immensely but no doubt if this were just some generic one-off action movie, it wouldn't have been as good as these characters are great (well, save for Walker who is still so bland). But I enjoyed the over-the-top action scenes and while the villain was average, I've become a big fan of Luke Evans of late (my choice to play Batman). Also excited to see #7 which looks to be a good old fashioned revenge movie... ****/*****, (B+, 7.8/10, 3/4)
  16. I agree, if not for Alden Ehrenreich and Alice Englert, this movie would've been subpar but I thought they had great chemistry and seeing the veterans ham it up was fun. It did ware a bit thin for its 2+ hour running time but I still was moderately entertained especially given my expectations going in. It's heads and shoulders above Twlight (although I suppose that's not hard to do) but not quite on the same level as The Hunger Games. Still, it's well worth watching if only once. It is a shame it didn't do better, and that Warner didn't know how to market it, as I wouldn't have minded seeing where the sequel went.
