I don't recall ever saying a 3x multi was improbable? Only that as low as 2.9x wouldn't surprise me. Fairly sure I never suggested it could go lower than 2.9x.
Only because this year was insane for animation. Sing could go as high as top 20 animated grossers of all time DOM, it's hardly a middle of the pack hit. Another Illumination blockbuster.
I pretty much feel that way about Careless Whisper. Deadpool was immediately bumped up from a B to a B+ in my book for that ending.
RIP George Michael.
Saw it and I totally get the bad reviews now. This is the kind of movie that exists solely because Hollywood wanted a movie about two sexy stars in a sexy sleek setting together. Zero substance, zero unpredictability, zero reason to see it unless you are new to this whole "movies" thing.
Omfg, "you got the right bitch to put you in the wrong motherfuckin place" is the new GOAT quote. Quick, some studio big wig get it in a script pronto!
Wow, will see a few more this week but this year is by far the least amount of movies I've seen theatrically in probably at least a decade. Usually it's 60+.

Or maybe we've got another case of Mandela effect. It's spreading to box office now, only a matter of time before Oogieloves is the new all time highest grosser.
Speaking of that, I was looking at Meyers' box office track record, and for some strange reason I've always been under the assumption The Parent Trap was some huge 150-200m grosser back in the day when it actually made just 66m.
