  1. Blankments, on 03 Jan 2014 - 7:23 PM, said: You know, I honestly thought about that while watching the rave scene. I thought, "this is gonna cause a seizure somewhere." Haha, thought the exact same! I honestly ended up just closing my eyes for a bit.
  2. Wow, BOM says TS3 had a 60% 3D share on OW. Kinda crazy how harsh 3D has fallen since then considering some animated movies this year only posted around 30% 3D shares on OW.
  3. I actually never even realized Bourne did it too (though not if you count Legacy). Still that wasn't the juggernaut of a franchise like LOTR or THG. And I thought we established a while ago that TS3 came up short in admissions from TS2? 3D was still pretty popular when it came out so it had a pretty good 3d share didn't it?
  4. Agreed. Never did get the hate for this film. Granted it wasn't the most deserving to win BP that year over contenders like The Two Towers and The Pianist, but I get that the Academy wanted to recognize a musical again, and this was the best one to do it with. Just tons of fun with a great soundtrack. I mean c'mon, how can anyone not love this scene: That alone made it deserving of a nom.
  5. Now MJ1 better not disappoint us at the BO. I want THG to follow in LOTR's footsteps as the second blockbuster franchise to increase in admissions with every movie.
  6. Damn, that's a steal for two dozen movies. Comes out to like 4 bucks per film. Plus you get the bonus stuff.
  7. We have relatively similar taste. Except Million Dollar Baby as your worst? What do you dislike so much about it? I need to see Bridge on the River Kwai and Chariots of Fire, always meant to.
  8. Walt Disney, I love you so much right now for putting No Country as your #1 worst. I rarely find anyone else that doesn't get the hype for it.
  9. My list, though I've only seen a little under half of the BP winners. 1. LOTR2. The Godfather3. Schindler's List4. On the Waterfront5. The Godfather II6. All About Eve7. The Departed8. Lawrence of Arabia9. Amadeus10. Casablanca11. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest12. Forrest Gump13. American Beauty14. The Apartment15. Slumdog Millionaire16. It Happened One Night17. The Sting18. Unforgiven19. Gladiator20. Braveheart21. Rebecca22. Ghandi23. The Silence of the Lambs24. The Sound of Music25. The King's Speech Top 5 Worst:1. Driving Miss Daisy (You know this wasn't too horrible for a Lifetime movie. What's that you say? It was released in theaters? And it won the BP oscar? ROTFLMAO.)2. Out of Africa (More effective than Nyquil)3. The Hurt Locker (Won merely for political reasons and that's enough for me to hate it. It's also rather mediocre on the whole, especially when compared to Bigelow's follow up Zero Dark Thirty, which is actually quite good).4. Kramer vs. Kramer (This is just so mundane and blah of a film. I mean yeah Hoffman and Streep are good as usual, but what about exactly is BP material?)5. No Country For Old Men (Yeah everyone else seems to think it's a masterpiece. Do I give two fucks? Hell no. This movie still bores me to tears, I can't find any real point to it, and Bardem's performance is the only thing of interest for me. And lmao at that "ending." )
  10. I have a sister who still insists that SIL deserved to win to this day. She's like the only one on Earth I know that does.

  12. Yep, we have a bet, look over this and make sure that's what you want to agree to : http://forums.boxoffice.com/index.php?/topic/2090-bet-thread-pm-fmpro-for-locked-bets-only/page-60#entry1198635
  13. Druv still needs to look over and officially agree to this: Frozen bet O/U Despicable Me 2 domestically Druv10 has the over bet MovieMan89 has the under bet Wager: Avatar/Sig stakes: If MovieMan loses he has to decorate in Frozen stuff and admit in sig he was wrong If Druv loses he has to decorate in DM2 and admit in sig he was wrong
  14. How do we even know discount Tuesday were in effect this week cause of the Holidays? I know the theaters around here don't do any discount stuff like that during the Xmas and New Years weeks.
  15. Lol, that's not really "friendly." How about I have to deck my avi and sig out in Frozen imagery if you win, and you have to do yours in DM2 stuff if I win?
  16. Just look at last year. The only movies that dropped under 50% on the 2nd were the ones that made under 2m on New Year's Day.
  17. Just a friendly bet or are we actually wagering something? I'd be up to buying you Frozen on DVD or Blu-Ray if you win, if you'd buy me DM2 if I win?
  18. In Colorado schools have never gone back January 2nd unless that's a Monday. Winter Break is always a full two weeks.
  19. Yeah I've never heard of that honestly, but parents do go back to work today. Meaning who's taking the kids to see it?
  20. Frozen will fall at least 50% today. Looking at past January 2nd's that's more than reasonable even for a movie with great WOM.
