  2. Mike also writes always peace and Mike as a signature I see no harm way less than e.g. the misuse of term like locked, billies,.... and whatnot again and again leads to derailments and so on. People are used to styles out of e.g. what is/was usus at the forum they started with or... deliver their own quirks. As long as people do not get personal, where is the harm? Isn't this here even a special place for 'otherness'? If its too much, use ignore?
  3. ... out of the same fandom now call this sole tweet pathetic.... 😉 Btw, I did rewatch this year for the first time in my live one of those 'obsessive' rewatches without any technical reason, but not for the BO of it, bcs I really love and click with it 😉 = I guess I am not the only one of those. Technical reason: I did rewatch ~ 9-10 years back rather often another movie, for different reasons, one major one finding out the different projector / screen combis for max 3D effect without getting nauseate. Another technical reason in a way: watching a movie in German and in OV for learning English or for not being sure about translation quality (usually being right about something feeling of) / understanding it right.

  5. often for me too, see that professions is part of the examples I gave That I do not agree to the degree / that ~ 100% formulating... like I understand the wording (might be a wrong impression, as I am not a native English speaker) That I agree to too I think both professions have their parts in the result. I can fully believe the behind the scene people being more important than even usual in this case, but that does not exclude the 'faces' of the movie, that usually get more of the recognition. In the end if actors/actresses do not deliver, the remaining team has no chance to deliver something worthwhile, or? Btw, I haven't seen any of the JW movies, but the trailer/actor mix got me curious (seen before Captain Marvel). Haven't seen the Matrix movies neither. Yet. Bought in the past that collector box, no special reason to have not watched it yet, more a time thing (binge watcher....).

  7. In my POV an actor is often the reason to even look into an upcoming movie, but if I'll watch a movie or not depends still on the summary / genre mix too In the 'sea' of new releases an actor/actress/director/.... can be very important for that first awareness step, but to watch something story-wise unappealing, why would a GA do that? GA is not a fan (who might follow 'their' star to every project to a degree), but that does not exclude a general awareness about a lot of actors/directors and so on. There are a lot of shades between black and white.

  12. Disagree to the strongest. You can say in lots of ways you disagree without going that route Even worse Bullying-ish at best People call you out for not needed style and you are reacting in that way, implying them are reacting that way. 15. Only to be sure, I am not 78, I started in 1978 with looking into BO in connection with the release of Star Wars. I guess I miss something, as I don't get that, probably bcs I have not seen the movie yet. I know roughly about what it is, but not more than is to read up at the German Wiki entry.
  16. ... there is a reason he/she is on my ignore list. Way too many stirring the pot post and such In addition to quite some unique reasons for the OW, also opening week, that is probably also playing into 'major' impacting points. Thanks a lot for bringing that up! still not enough '1'? BOM's version The-Numbers.com versions: (not seriously meant 😉 ) some of those are in my POV a bit difficult to reach without general school holidays and such. I'll tell that to a lot of mothers at the school I work for, who never saw even one MCU, no Star Trek, no Avatar, no Star Wars... or any other Sci-Fi / CBM. And yes, that included at TV at home. Btw, at least one of our janitors (I only asked him as he has children and the oldest being in the 'right' age, who also has not seen nearly all of those, only the one movie I did watch with him and a few others some time back - the son, not the father), who is in his mid '40 has also not seen an MCU's and I think not a lot of Sci-Fi in general neither. Cliché ~ hand-craft who has neither the time not the interest to sit before the TV beside watching the news and some local / country specific ~ knowledge ... things (forgot the term). I know quite a lot of those in a very rural region here too. I started to look loosely - in comparison to later years - for BO details in 1978, as a certain franchise starter (SW) got here released (then still called West Germany 9 February 1978). More in-depth starting in the '80, till some years back in part rather a lot, the last ~ 5 years less, as simply too often no time 😉 Huh, that means last year I had a kind of 40 years milestone I totally missed As long as I do not forget this year's silver wedding anniversary (2nd marriage)... and hubby's 65th birthday ~ 3 weeks later... Ugh, I'll have to focus more on the remodelling here at home (and a big project in school I work for since around 4 years and acc. to myself has to be finished at the end of June), I guess we will need a wood dust free ... space for some parties in late autumn!
  17. I am always wondering: where does the term soccer even come from? Not the location, but the root of the word? The only similar term in a way I know is soccage, but can not imagine that that is the 'root' of the term. Socks maybe, bcs showing them??? Officially its said its a ~ shortened version of 'Association', bur I can not 'hear' soccer in it (even id excluding the -er at the end), and as sometimes the 'official' version has no clue about local dialect (as I see here in my surrounding repetedly e.g. per wrong renamings/moderniztion of street names that are based on wrong ssumptions and as such done wrong) I m not sure see I can not 'hear' it Maybe a mix?
  18. But do the BOT members living in the US know that? BOT's members are still predominant dom citizens. Hence better safe then cause confusions
  19. That's not what the posts where about: someone meant they ~ will do it (maybe), its only about how sure it is Disney themself will do something in the case of... It is/was not about what the situation or news or... might cause which reaction or not
  20. Son (who just got back from the cinema) just pointed out: soccer finale was yesterday (Saturday), means that might have been a reason for the last few weeks in general too = more 'girl movie' tickets, less... Just a thought, not based on further reading up or so.
