  1. Enemy is what makes me excited for Villeneuve, or at least his vision of a Blade Runner universe. That final scene still plagues my nightmares.
  2. I'm fine with the release date. After Deadpool studios should realise that 'off seasons' are an increasingly archaic concept.
  3. Damn. When it comes to dailies I have almost no clue what constitutes a good number, but even I don't need to be told that's huge. What kind of total is DP looking at now?
  4. Zoolander 2 forgot that counter programming only works if you offer a decent alternative.
  5. This going to get 300m+, isn't it? Pretty spectacular, and a reminder that no-one knows anything.
  6. Seen a lot of posters in London for this. It shows off the cast but gives no clue what the film's about - usually a bad sign.
  7. I had to look him up. Looks like this is his debut feature (talk about hitting the ground running) but as an animator he also designed the Thor 2 opening credits..?
  8. I didn't even think the marketing was great. And I'm fine to admit how surprised I am that it obviously did its job.
  9. He'll be a very relieved man. This was surely his last roll of the dice in a leading man action role.
  10. Well, Kick-Ass has already navigated those waters. It just didn't make very much money.
  11. Plus it sounds like kids in the US go to R rated movies regardless. Never really understood why studios were so terrified of that rating.
  12. Not sure I'd go that far, but along with American Sniper it does prove that January and February can make for mega breakout months. Ball's in your court, Hollywood.
  13. If Robbie's meant to be a Brit why has she made no attempt to hide her Aussie accent?
  14. After Rock the Kasbah and Our Brand Is Crisis it's very hard to imagine this doing well.
  15. I watched bits of the first one on youtube last year having not seen it since the cinema when I was 6 and it's weirdly... gritty? The production design is almost 70s-esque, which I suppose is in keeping with the original comics.
