  1. Annoying if so. The whole audible dialogue issue doesn’t bother me as much as some but for a 3 hour movie of people talking that seems like a major problem.
  2. Just saw an article on quite a big entertainment website entitled “does Oppenheimer have a post credit scene” and fuck you marvel.
  3. I’ll admit I’m curious how this turns out but I think the possibility of it being really annoying are quite high. ‘Gaga goes method for new joker movie’ just provoked eye rolls more than anything else.
  4. I don’t even think dune will outgross this. Just that it’ll be fine. The trailer is ok, no more no less.
  5. Trailer’s ok - standard late-stage MCU fare - but I think people saying Dune should be worried are nuts.
  6. We don’t need a Nolan bond movie, skyfall already exists. Even the love interest girl gets killed off.
  7. I saw MI4 in Imax and yes, some parts were literally breathtaking. Utterly bizarre that the franchise hasn’t gone all in on the format.
  8. Is secret invasion really as bad as they say? I’ve read it be compared to the Witcher which, like, surely it’s not that awful…
  9. I mean, this probably isn’t another wrinkle in time. ‘Ambitious’ is a pretty tame value judgement, I wouldn’t infer indecisiveness from that. Either way, nothing piques my interest in a movie, album, tv show more than someone who honestly says “I don’t know how I feel about this.” There really hasn’t been much of that so far with Oppenheimer, but if there was: bring it on.
  10. don’t care about Randolph but those are legitimate reactions to a movie. I felt that way the first time I watched inception, and ultimately liked it a lot.
  11. It’s internet brain - everything has to be ranked and quantified.
  12. I can only imagine it’s like Tenet insofar as the plot moves faster than you can keep up with, but I’ll defer to someone who’s actually seen it.
  13. Wow, what are the chances of Tom Hiddleston’s wife landing a high-profile MCU gig?! (half-kidding; she was great on Fresh Meat.)
  14. Narina by Netflix sounds like an incredibly boring proposition but, to be fair, I might have said the same about a live action barbie movie a couple of years ago. Maybe she’ll subvert the story and bake it an atheist rally cry.
  15. this might now be the only movie ever made that’s been compared to both A Beautiful Mind and Come And See.
  16. She doesn’t get nearly enough credit. Producers are often unsung heroes because no-one really knows what they do, but putting together blockbuster after blockbuster every 2-3 years is no mean feat.
  17. come on, what Chinese moviegoer wouldn’t love three hours of westerners talking in rooms?
  18. Is there a particular reason it looks like this won’t get a china release? The country wasn’t exactly friendly with Japan during WW2.
  19. The reviews that say ‘it sometimes reaches beyond its grasp’ make me a lot more interested than the ones that just say ‘it’s hilarious!!’ I still have no idea what the plot is and can hopefully keep it that way before seeing it.
