Coz Wreck It Ralph 2 got pushed back to Thanksgiving 2018, leaving the March 9 date open. Hmm, I don't think it was getting "disposed of" when it had been slotted for its earlier date. Just that the February/March frame was crowded for Disney with Black Panther releasing at the end of February and WiR2 previously releasing in early March, so April was the only spot that allowed some breathing room for AWiT.

Wednesday Numbers : FF8: 2.11M | BATB:0.66M | BB:0.54M
Spidey Freak replied to Finnick's topic in Numbers and Data
I remembered Tangled fudge being only 199 to 200. Though as TDKoS said, BatB has a better chance of reaching 500M through double features and dollar theatre runs. -
Old news. And why would people in Japan care that much when it is Japanese-American actors who are the ones suffering? Also, THR interviewed four Japanese descent actresses working in Hollywood on the subject and they straight up said some Japanese people are obsessed with white people coz they are self-loathing and hence prone to suicide. Savage much?

New Mutants final draft is ready I think. Deadpool 2 may have a lot of improvisation from Reynolds and co. so it will probably make its date too. Don't see Dark Phoenix making its 2018 date unless Kinberg gets to direct and write. But I assume WGA would not be cool with him writing even if he gets the director's job?

We'll see. Boone is good at doing teen drama and this has the 500 Days of Summer/Fault in Our Stars writing team so it has potential to buck the norms of standard superhero fare. Especially considering they are going for a teen horror-esque tone for this that hasn't been done before. Apparently this was one of Marvel's highest selling books in the 80's and was so popular at the time that it partly inspired the creation of TMNT (the "Teenage Mutant" part at least ). It's a junior team of students studying at Xavier's ("New" as in "Younger") who haven't been graduated to X-Men level yet but have their own side adventures without adult supervision, usually. The stories also tended to have more horror elements and did a much better job at depicting the coming of age experience than regular X-Men comics.

SW original trilogy was never theatrically released in China during its initial run so the franchise isn't that big a deal there. Also see Rogue One meh numbers.

Fast & Furious 6 average rating is just 6.2 and it is fresh. Most folks just need to give this a fresh and if the average score stays around 6, it will be alright

Zilch, even without the defence of big studio lawyer armies. The Warrens' stories aren't copyrightable IP's or even personal "real life stories" to which someone can buy sole rights for reproduction, but retellings of "historical events" that they happened to be involved in (highly embellished historical events but "historical" enough in this context). I don't know how the author can argue that he was duped by the Warrens into believing their recollections of events to be legit but then still considered them fictional enough to be copyrighted.
