Even more conflict-free than Before Sunrise and Boyhood? One of Linklater's strengths as a storyteller is crafting movies that tend to be charming and enlightening even without traditional plot structures and pivots.

I still suspect that "Jenny" was indeed supposed to be the gender reversed version of Jimmy in MoS. But WB chickened out after the shitstorm raised by the same old fanbois. Wouldn't be surprised if this is Zack's way of subtly showing that group the middle finger.

The OW despite awful reviews and coming off a divisive MoS shows people were jazzed for this and were willing to give it a chance. It's the DARKNESS! and um... unusual character depictions that are throwing people off. It can still bounce back. Fox was probably at a worse point post-Origins but their XCU is chugging along just fine, being the longest running cinematic universe, convoluted timelines and all.

Because he greatly prefers the characters? The folks at Fox would be more likely to listen to Whedon post-TA. And the heads at WB now are different than the one he dealt with earlier. And they are also more likely to listen to him post-TA.

He's in a much better bargaining position now than he was then. Also, the current WB/DC heads like Kevin Tsujihara, Diane Nelson and Geoff Johns are far more likely to agree to Whedon's terms and ideas for JL than whatshisname during the Wonder Woman era.

Did he? Though Matthew Vaughn actually signed on for X3 and then walked out because of the insane production issues that film had. And that didn't stop him from returning for First Class.

He in no subtle words complained about "recalcitrant execs" refusing to let female characters to be featured in the movies as they "don't sell toys". Later, it was revealed that Ike Perlmutter held that same belief. He was also talking about how there was a "pressure on him" to have AoU outdo TA, which it didn't. If Snyder is indeed asked to step into a purely exec role for JL, then Whedon will be one of the likely people WB will look at. Only this time, Whedon will be at a better place to negotiate his own terms and conditions. And I doubt he would want to work on "poor men's X-Men". He may actually get an opportunity at the real thing if Singer wants to take a break after Apocalypse or if Fox have something more in mind for their XCU.

If he wants to do more superhero fare, I doubt he'd return to Marvel. The chances of him doing an X-Men project for Fox is more as he has voiced his preference for the franchise over Avengers. WB could lure him to do JL as he may have an interest in handling Wonder Woman again but this time they will have to grant him greater creative control than the last time.

BvS opened just fine coming off a critical slaughter. The glowing reviews actually boosted IM and THG openings. BvS had that very important factor going against it. This is on an even bigger level than Bayformers, which ultimately speaks to the power of the brands.

Pretty simple. It's perpetual geek mentality. Always wanting to be accepted by the cool kids and then being affronted when things don't go as expected, falling back on the trusty old, "I'm too precious for them anyway" comfort logic.

Not sure. A lot of people I know, including me, didn't go over the weekend just because of the shooting. You are forgetting how scary and fucked up it was at the time.

To be fair, that's a pretty lazily done infographic. Some superheroes have VO artists included and others don't. Catwoman's list rivals Batman's when you include her voice actresses.
