  1. Oh cool, I was losing interest in this but that makes me wanna catch it in theatres now.
  2. 1. Moana 2. Suicide Squad 3. BvS 4. Zootopia 5. Ghostbusters 6. Silence 7. Kubo and the Two Strings 8. Finding Dory 9. Rogue One 10. The Jungle Book
  3. I think Negasonic will be transferred to the Josh Boone directed New Mutants movie, playing the brooding and goth "Raven-esque" member of the teen team. That opens up a slot which I think will go to Domino. Dunno about Blink! but I could see them incorporating Gambit and Psylocke, provided they are well received in their respective movies. As the earlier poster said, as time-travelling is involved, everyone is fair game. Gambit is a character who would perfectly fit a "Deadpoolian X-Force" too.
  4. As iJack said, out of those Fox probably has the rights only to Dazzler. But they should totally go for the very first superhero(ine) musical in Dazzler as genre experimentation really paid off with Deadpool here. Have original songs and have Gambit Tatum play a role if his solo does decent. Deadpool can cameo. Oh and cast Brie Larson as Dazzler as girl can SING.
  5. Hmm, I think DoFP and now Deadpool may help Apocalypse opening. The multiplier I don't suspect will be better than the typical X-Men movie multiplier but enough to put it above 200M, which I think Fox will be content with. OS is where the real X-cash comes from now.
  6. Gambit, Josh Boone's New Mutants and X-Force need to be successes too, or at least 2 of those 3 need to, for them to bid Singer farewell. Think the X-Verse may be stuck with Kinberg though. He is too influential at Fox.
  7. The one who immediately comes to mind for me is Satoshi Kon (he didn't even get to 6, more like 4.5 and a mini-series, though he worked on other projects in capacities other than direction). Like Austen, he died relatively young (46) but not before making his indelible mark in animation and as Richard Corliss pointed out in his Time magazine eulogy for Kon, filmmaking in general. If your work plays a key role in inspiring films like Inception and Black Swan, then you are pretty damn legendary in my book.
  8. Jane Goldman should have written the screenplay. She's usually brilliant at stuff like this.
  9. The concept has potential though. From my understanding however, the writer didn't do much with it in his book. Hopefully the movie does better.
  10. A Minions success is apparently enough to overshadow Frozen/Inside Out successes for animation marketing teams.
  11. No, with his adult face. They will have to get a child and adult actor who at least bare a passing resemblance to each other though. A lot will depend on the kid's acting skills too. This concept will be slightly tricky to pull off, trickier than even the other "out there" franchises like GotG and Suicide Squad.
  12. Shrek Forever After isn't bad either. Doesn't have the smarts and originality of the first two, but it is still a pleasant enough experience. The Turd tho. It makes some Disney DTV sequels seem like Ghibli classics.
  13. That's how she gets roles even when she's actively trying to sabotage her own auditions. Legend already.
  14. I didn't get that. The last scene made it seem like he was paying tribute to his late mentor and catching the familiar jerks off guard in the process. After the revelation of Sir Arthur's true allegiance, I don't think anyone still expected him to conform to the "gentlemanly" way.
  15. It makes you wonder how much of that great hold last weekend was mainly due to the Oscar noms + Globe wins. Coz the WOM I've personally been hearing isn't really all that strong, to be honest. Let's see though. This weekend could be an anomaly because of the storm.
  16. During the 00's, Pixar movies generated way more revenue than WDAS films, so it was understandable why Disney allowed Pixar bigger sums. However, expect WDAS movies to become bigger too, especially if Zootopia and Moana continue the studio's current hot streak. Though I do wonder whether the new Hyperion technology helps keep WDAS budgets from inflating.
  17. Hmm, his rivals must have increased their bribes upgraded their For Your Consideration material.
  18. Harvey Weinstein should produce some minority led movies. Problem solved.
  19. Ditto for The Blind Side and Sandra. Heck, Still Alice was pretty divisive too.
  20. This franchise could do with a more layered villain like Lady Eboshi from Princess Mononoke. A fiercely protective leader who only wants the best for her people and their continued survival and is a decent person at heart. Even if she is willing to sacrifice the Navi and Eywa's trees for the welfare of her people.
