  1. South Korea BO has been on the down low lately in terms of blockbusters, Infinity War has the perfect release date. I really love how SK track BO in admissions. Thanks @feasby007 for all the updates!
  2. For some reasons, I had it confused with last weekend. Must be all the very passionate Avatar discussions that threw me off somehow. Thanks
  3. Its late legs were really boosted by Easter holidays falling on the right time. Holding power has been especially strong in the leggier markets really help too. With the latest weekend still pulled in 7M+, $640M is locked. I’m hoping for closer to or at $650M OS finish. Would give it a greater chance at #8 WW, nice spot just right behind Ultron.
  4. That’s an amazing drop for ICOI, only behind Black Panther by 1M. All these biblical/Christian movies coming in strong to avenge Samson.
  5. Totally didn’t expect to see BP having this great holding power in the OS markets. It’s a pleasant surprise though. Hope it has enough juice on both domestic and overseas fronts to go pass TLJ. Go T’Challa!
  6. The trailer already made the movie looks terrible. How much more sucky the actual movie has to be that they have to push it back almost 2 years?
  7. Can only think of one plausible explanation for the higher RT for Tomb Raider 2018. Gotta be the Walton Goggins Effect.
  8. Black Panther gonna be flying by 600M on Sunday (or more likely Saturday) which would be its 30th/31st day of release. That’s gotta 2nd best behind TFA, cause if I recall correctly, Jurassic World takes longer even with summer weekdays. Nothing’s stopping this train.
  9. I booked tickets for Saturday to watch this movie with a bunch of my little cousins (I have way too many of them). Hope for an entertaining time at least.
  10. 53% Sat jump for WIT (minus previews). Not bad. 18.6M for Black Panther is around 86% jump. In line with last week. Great number!
  11. Black Panther 2 to open under Ant-Man’s OW. That’ll show them. Maybe your prediction is just ahead of its time.
  12. What a milestone. Someone should alert Taika of this achievement to get his reaction.
  13. Top 5 worst Spielberg: 1. Lost World 2. Lost World 3. Lost World 4. Lost World 5. Lost World An accurate list that both @aabattery and @Jay Hollywood would agree on.
  14. All these “bend over backwards” baseless accusations, you would think the movie is doing amazing reviews-wise. But turns out, it’s just another Twitter vacuum of shitty takes.
  15. The level of obtuse and ignorance on display with some posters here in this thread is quite alarming.
  16. The higher points of marketing for me was the second trailer. But it’s been looking sadder and sadder since then.
  17. This movie is quietly, and slowly but surely making bank. With Japan to come, it has a really good chance of pulling ahead of Pirates 5’s 622M OS haul for the 5th spot overall oversea grossers of 2017 (behind FF7, DM3, BATB, and TLJ iirc) I hope for big success in Japan. 850M+ WW would be nice.
  18. I have you know this revelation made me really uncomfortable. I might have to re-evaluate my life choices if this is true.
  19. Closer to release date, my domestic expectations definitely went up significantly with all the pre-sales and hype report, so 350-400M Dom. But OS I had reservations, and was hoping the MCU good will internationally will bring BP box office to around Dr. Strange total. Boy, so glad I was wrong.
  20. Every time this thread got bumped, and I saw Guy Ritchie’s name in the title, I died a little inside. At least we have something we can agree on @Telehilation
  21. Yeah, BP definitely broke out, especially relative to even MCU fans expectations, in the OS markets. I think before it opens, most everyone thought it will do at best around 400M OS. But it’s already at that mark now after 3 weeks. With China to come, a 600M OS is possible. That’s 5th biggest MCU, only behind the big boys like The Avengers movie and IM3, CA3.
