More than 100 deals have apparently helped it to rake in £110 million; which is not far off the £145 million that it cost to make.

You were saying Ecstasy.. Superman made about 200million even before it was seen.. Like I said

read those trades..LOL

Im sure thats in Variety and Hwood Reporter as well. Confirmed is more like it.. Superman will be far more

profitable than ST, GI JOE and certainly more profitable than any Ironman film besides the 3rd :)

No wonder so many products are noticable in the film.. Nokia and other companies went crazy with

product promotion in MOS.

Errrr is anyone getting flashbacks to Kal-el with these posts???

I thought Sherlock Holmes was #1. Didn't realize Day After Tomorrow was in there. What was #1?

SH1 lose to Avatar 2nd weekend.

And SHrek 2 2nd weekend(72.2m) beat Day after tomorrow.

I used Business Week to show you how those deals work and what has been reported.

I want to know what you are arguing. I said the first article you posted was bogus because it said those promotional deals paid for the production budget. The writer of the article made that assumption with no source confirming that fact. That's why I called BS on the article.  WB has made no such statement nor has any "source" said this.

Does every single film studio/corporation have to make some statement on the internet about how much their commercial deals-toys,etc merchandise gonna sale and how much cost it can recovered from these commercial deals's profit?

It has never been confirmed in Variety or THR that MOS has recovered 3/4 of it's production budget from the deals. They never even reported that. The trades did report that WB had 170m worth of promotional partners via product placement and other partnerships. That's why I say the article is bogus. That money has nothing to do with its production budget.

I know right... This is well known, just that a whole lot of folks wanted in on MOS.

Supposingly larger than any film to date. The nokia stuff was cool. You know Nokia paid some big money

for all that product promotion to MOS :)..Love it..MOS putting away Iron Man I and II and SM1 reboot will make

me further smile.

Kal, if I were you, I'd hold out on any of this MOS beating IM1 stuff until the weekend estimates come in and looks like WWZ might've taken MOS down a peg, so brace yourself.. :bouncy:

We can take the other Iron man I tell you!! Enguarde my friend!! :) Hee hee

I'm talking worldwide  BKB.. Not sure yet domestically(we have a very nice

shot at it, depending on holds-IM 315 or 318 dom)  .. Worldwide though, thats where it counts.

We will bust IM 1 and 2 worldwide. :)

Well you do know MOS will beat Spidey domestically and become the biggest reboot domestically

soon.(Well not counting the incredible jump in boxoffice of the first transformers film to the live action one

of course)

Never understood why it got so much hate... I thought it was a good movie to end the trilogy unlike other trilogies that fucked up big time with the 3rd film

It got so much hate? The trilogy is hands down the best among comic book films.
