Jake Gittes
On other news, everyone's favorite this year Spring Breakers has made 31M worldwide. Great success considering both its small budget and just how fucked up and weird it is. I sure hope Harmony Korine will be able to get his next couple of movies funded more easily now. Jake Gittes
The Way, Way Back and Fruitvale Station are also doing really well. Same cant be said for Before Midnight even though its highest grossing movie of the series. Fruitvale actually dropped 50% from its last Friday, which is... weird. Even The Master held much better in its second wide weekend.
Jandrew
Who was saying attendance is at record levels? Record bad levels maybe, what a puke year in terms of reception both from audiences and in legs. Quality overall has been dismal. That was me. I already posted the link for you in the thursday thread. kayumanggi
Take out IM3, DM2 in the year and what does that leave us with? THG: CF, TH: TDOS and THOR: TDW and a bunch of holiday surprises.
Jack Nevada
Pacific Rim is crazy, beautiful, ridiculous and I loved every minute of it. Almost got the feeling I got when watching The Avengers for the first time.
kayumanggi
May and June are both record-breaking months. July is the second biggest ever. Even if you factor attendance, this summer has been the most attended summer for the past 3 years.
kayumanggi
Ouch for WOLVERINE and does make me wonder if DOTP could suffer the fate of too much X-MEN being shoved down our throats??? There is too much Avengers than X-Men to be honest.

Ezen Baklattan
The PR jump is weak . Good for Red2.Ouch for TW. It's actually not that bad, considering how it lost nearly 800 theaters and surrended its IMAX screens to World War Z.

Jack Nevada
I really liked Spring Breakers. Its fucking apocalyptic, like some reviewer compared it to a Hieronymus Boch painting, and I think thats pretty accurate.
Sam
That one too. Didn't see any numbers for it.MOS is too far down the list and will make under 500k this weekend so I don't think we'll see any reports till tomorrow or Monday.I think it'll drop another 50% or so, 350k-400k for the weekend is my guess.
