Is there any independent confirmation of the collections of Vishwaroopam?

 

Rahul Bose tweeted that he was given the box office collections as 120 Crores so far and counting. The Hindi version has apparently earned 14 Crore Nett (according to Taran Adarsh) and the Tamil and Telugu versions together did 8 Crores overseas. That leaves a big difference (even if Rahul Bose was talking in terms of Gross collections) that the Tamil and Telugu versions need to have earned domestically.

 

Another set of numbers i found online are:

Reportedly, the film has grossed 11 crores from Kerala and Karnataka jointly, 22 crores from Andhra Pradesh and 20 crores from the Hindi version.

The film has garnered about 14 crores from the overseas box office collection. The official box office collection report for the movie in Tamil Nadu is yet to be released. But, none of these numbers are officially confirmed.

 

If the 120 crore figure is actually is true then good on Kamal Hasan for launching a movie this strongly.

So far, this year has been a pretty disappointing one for Hindi films IMO. Not a single film has had the must-watch rush factor, add to this the disappointment that Himmatwala brought (both as a movie and at the box office) and this has been one of the worst first 5 months ever.

 

Hopefully, Chennai Express, OUATIM2, Krrish 3 and Dhoom 3 should do well and earn 100 Cr+ each (some may even hit 200 Cr+, especially Dhoom 3 and Krrish 3)

I imagine Dhoom 3 and Kirssh 2 will dominate the year.

Dhoom 3 should easily outgross 3 Idiots and become #1 all-time. The only question is by how much......I expect it to reach 300 crore mark.Krrish 2 is also a strong contender for 200 crore. 150 crore shouldn't be a problem.

Chennai express has Huge potential to collect 200Cr wich is for sure then dhoom 3 can break records not coz of star presence but brand value krish3 100-150 Max the first part wasnt good it became hit at tat point of time because it was first indian superhero movie!!!

and next thers once upon a time in mumbai 2 even this flick has good potential at domestic not at overseas!!!

Next Salman Khan film is called "Mental." He is shooting for it at the moment, and he is opposite two young actresses, Daisy Shah and Sana Khan.

 

It might release late this year, or else early next year. Release date is not confirmed, but their were many rumours of it being released on August 8th first (Eid), then October, November 22nd, and now maybe end of January 2014.
