chasmmi
It will be in about 5 or 6 hours. With my work timetable and the time difference, actuals come up at the absolute worst time for me to be able to get them done any earlier. So its always Tuesday late night (Korea time)

chasmmi
And the current league table: Pos Player Play Win Draw Lose GF GA GD Points 1 Grim22 4 4 0 0 30 13 17 12 2 Filmovie 5 3 1 1 38 19 19 10 3 Telemachos 4 3 1 0 28 17 11 10 4 CHD 4 3 0 1 27 19 8 9 5 Goffe 3 2 0 1 23 17 6 6 6 Films 3 2 0 1 20 15 5 6 7 Kingkong 4 2 0 2 17 18 -1 6 8 Blankments 4 1 2 1 21 25 -4 5 9 Baumer 3 1 1 1 20 22 -2 4 10 Ruthie 5 1 1 3 21 30 -9 4 11 Alisson23 4 1 0 3 17 26 -9 3 12 Mahnamahna 4 0 0 4 13 29 -16 0 13 Glassfairy 5 0 0 5 16 41 -25
chasmmi
Ok, so now that Godzilla is removed, we are faced with a scenario that each week, 3 players are now not predicting (The odd player out, Tawasal's opponent and Godzilla's opponent). Therefore I am giving two options on how to combat this issue: Option 1: Continue as things have been but with 3 players getting a week off each week Option 2: I give two sets of 5 questions each week with each set representing a week's fixture. (So if I did it this week, Q1-5 would be for Week 6 fixture list and Q6-10 would be for Week 7 fixture list) (I do not want to have the same set of 5 questions count multiple times as the concept of this game revolves around how one set of predictions fares against another players single set of predictions, not how it fares against multiple opponents.) So I am creating an unofficial poll here to see what the majority wishes to do: continue with multiple weeks off throughout the season, or answering 10 questions per week and have the season finish a little quicker. With 13 players I am looking for a clear majority to switch to option 2 (as nobody signed up to answer 10 questions at a time), therefore for option 2 to win it needs to obtain at least 8 votes to win, (whereas option 1 requires just 6 to win). With regards to this week, if 8 people vote for option 2 within 30 hours of this post (6pm on Wednesday forum time?), I will create a question 6-10 for this coming week. If it takes longer than that time to vote yes to option two, it will be introduced from next week. So let me know either way

grim22
One option is to rearrange the fixtures list. Look at whoever has weeks off and change the fixtures list altogether. Maybe give the game a week off this week to rework the fixtures list. That will prevent 3 people having a week off as well.
chasmmi
I want to keep the game running every week (otherwise I may fall into a bad habit but I will look into seeing if i can rearrange the fixtures as thats a better idea I think Grim. (this means Films vs Glassfairy may happen this week [if it does you will know within the next 2 hours])
chasmmi
Ok I have revamped the fixtures. The new fixture list will mean that each week either 1 or 2 players will have two matches (each match will use the same questions not two separate sets). Therefore there will be 7 or 8 matches played each week. With this system, nobody will have to sit out a week without predicting and the game can run smoothly for the next 7 weeks. (Please note that this relies on current players to keep taking part through to the end. I've been really happy with how good everyone currently still in has been with getting predictions in and if this continues for the rest of the league all will go swimmingly i hope. I will paste in the next post the revised fixture list: Week 6 ...................... ......... Ruthie v Grim22 ......... ......... Goffe v Telemachos ......... ........ Mahnamahna v Blankments ......... ......... Baumer v Kingkong ......... ......... Alisson23 v CHD ......... ......... Films v Glassfairy ......... ......... Filmovie v CHD ......... chasmmi
Just to warn y'all, I plan to add permutations and round ups of who needs to achieve what etc once round 8 is over. But as things stand Grim, Goffe and Films look strongest placed right now, with the other 3 qualifying places looking like they will be fought over by the rest. Still a long long way to go of course.
